What is the difference between a nap and a proper sleep? What’s the time scale ratio going on for a nap?
I went at 3 and was horrfied to see it was just gone 7, superb looks like I’m awake all night ![](/icons/s/eek.gif) |

I find napping to be counter productive for me, they refresh my mind so well that I then struggle to switch off to sleep. Being awake at night then increases my likelihood of daytime napping, thus starting a cycle towards madness. |

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
A love an afternoon nap. Twenty minutes is perfect for a refresher that doesn't affect sleep. If it goes on over an hour then it feels great at the time but not not so good for sleeping later.

I love napping. I was taught to nap at any opportunity anything under a couple of hours to me is a nap.
When I’m absolutely chin strapped I will go bed for an afternoon nap and it won’t affect my sleep for the night.
I guess I just love sleeping |

Anything over 2 hours isn't a nap...which is exactly why I rarely nap. If I want to sleep for 10 hours, I'm lucky to get 3. If I want an hours nap, I sleep through my alarm and wake up around 7 hours later. ![](/icons/s/neutral.gif) |

I went to bed at 5am Monday, got up at 9. Went downstairs and "napped" a lot of the day away - and slept like a baby last night (which I NEVER do).
Naps are a must for me I'm afraid |

"I love a nap, if I'm tired at work I'll nap in my car in my lunch break and set the alarm on my phone. I feel very refreshed after
Does it affect the way you drive much? "
Ha ha very good. No, because I drive as though my eyes are closed anyway..... |

Used to work in the post office and with a 5am start, disco naps were essential if I wanted to go out. |
