"It's an absolutely great idea in theory. In practice I think it could attract the "wrong sort".
Tea drinkers
They're all perverts

Brighton |
Down here in Brighton, we have a swinger's pub!
Actually, it's a normal pub, that a local couple organise a "swingers' social" meet every couple of months. It's well attended though, with about 40 / 50 swingers turning up. I must be a Brighton thing! |

There is a Croydon social every month too, shed loads of swingers decend onto a pub |

"The thing is it wouldn't take long for the media to find out and a lot of people wouldn't want to be seen going in. "
Yeah. It's like when we go to a naturist spa and the locals stand and stare at us or leave notes on our windscreen. |

I think in theory it's a good idea OP - but how would you differentiate yourself from any other coffee shop? In theory if I arrange to meet someone at the local Costa, for me and that person at least, it's become a 'swinger friendly cafe' for the time we're there.
Not really sure how you could use swinging as a USP without either alienating a whole, and much larger, group of potential customers (i.e. non swingers) or just being the same as any other coffee shop.
Can see perhaps an "outside normal hours" group social type thing might work though |

That's what I was thinking have a night or evening for it obviously you wouldn't want 80 yr old Doreen to be sipping on her coffee with everything going on around her |

What percentage of the population are 'out' swingers ?
I'm asking cos your takings might not be sufficient to keep you alive.
Many vanillas / straights / moralisers / prudes wouldn't want to be in the same place as all the dirty, vile , sexual perverts.... nor would they want their kids there.......
So ...is it adult only ? Swinger only ?
Swinger friendly is a bit odd. People drink coffee. |

Why ? 80 doesn't mean shocked. It generally means they were at it before you were born. |

I assume there wouldn't be any places to play? I don't tgink you'd have enough buisness for a dedicated swingers coffee shop. However a normal established coffee shop that those in the know, know is where other swingers go to meet and hang out would work. Maybe pampas grass growing out the front of Costa. |

Coded coffees perhaps?
Cappuccino = Looking for MMF
Latte = Bisexual
Triple Espresso = Full on whips and chains experience |

The shop closes at 4 so you can come in before but when it closes we can reopen an hour later or something after cleaning down and open for the more saucy bunch nothing to sexual but a fondle and stuff unless I cling film the whole place then you can all go wild |

Hate to throw a fly in the ointment but what if you didn't like the hot drink associated with your sexual preference? You'd either be stuck sipping terrible tasting hot drinks or enjoying delisious drinks and suffering from horrible sexual flashbacks. Neither that conducive to having a fun time. |

"And ...... The next morning are the 'normal' folk really going to want to sip coffee when all they think about is that someone got banged over the table the night before .... ?"
There used to be a cinema in Liverpool that showed porn by day and was an indie cinema by night. The seats were plastic and they used to swill the place down with disinfectant between sessions.
You'd hope if you sat in something damp it was Dettol ....
Ah memories... |

Williamson Square / Clayton Square? I remember the brown mac brigade going in and coming out. Sure that'd be before your day. |

The original 051 cinema was still going when I came to Lpool.
