I spotted a hottie, his profile was well written and appealed to me. Then I looked at his username and it made me cringe
Does anyone else find people's choice in username affect your perception of them? |

I agree and I know Jo would if she were awake, there has been many a message deleted as the username clearly states the person is into something we definitely are not.

Yes! Far too often and for many reasons. Anything to do with being dominant or submissive, the word lad when you are almost 40, anything crude, the word slut is pretty much an instant block... The list goes on |

I find it hard to believe that the username was the last thing you looked at after the pics and profile write up. |

Would love to know what you think of mine, I was trying to avoid all of the above.
If you're a Dom you don't need to put it in everything you post

"I generally work on the basis that if it's not something that you can introduce yourself as in person without cringing then you shouldn't use it. Yes 'pussydestroyer53' I'm looking at you...
"
Quite. |

If the profile is well written and appealing but the user name is cringeworthy i'll consider two possibilities: 1- they're crap at choosing names. 2- the profile wasn't written by them but instead for them. |

"Unfortunately yes"
Haha, I see you've changed yours again
Well as a bloke, I think most ladies tend to have imaginative names, or at least realistic ones, I've seen a few over the years which I think would put some people off messaging them, but each to their own eh?
Mine's just a play on words, and I used to be a damned good winger on both the Rugby and Football field back in the day |

Yes
A shite user name is one of the 500 other things that stop me replying to a message
What is there (and what isn't) has a huge bearing on whether I take a gamble on someone |

"We also find that having an overly complicated username can make it difficult to find people, for example, after you've met in a club. Totally agree though, a cringe-worthy username is a turn off"
Give an example of an overly complicated one then(obviously made up), I sometimes go to the pub and call Susan Sally next time i meet her |

"I don’t mind if their name is a play on words or amusing, it’s when they are called things like Bigspunker99 (sorry if there is one) that makes me go a bit "
We could also give honourable mention to...
PollokPumper475 (Fuck. There's more than one?)
Fannysmasher (I'm sure there's a better way mate)
9inchesdeep
And the delightful

Oh yes.
Cheeky names, a play on words make me giggle. I see the person has a sense of humour.
But anything 'vulgar' - *Fannysmasher *ClungeCrusher *SuperHungDood just make me go Urrrrgh.
Some names I've seen just leave me wondering if that's how that person actually views themselves
*no idea if these are actual names, just loose examples |

Fannysmasher is certainly a 'loose' sounding example |

Yes, but why should he care what you think of his profile name. If he likes it that is what matters to him. |

This
If someone wants to choose a vulgar name and thinks it will reap benefits then good luck to them - but the number of times those same people then appear on the forums bemoaning that they can't get a meet and asking why, would suggest that, for vast the majority at least, perhaps he should care |
