Yes, I was deciding whether or not to leave it till Monday but that’s turned into GOT night now

I don’t the Hasting is ‘H’ tempted to go through the cast list and check all characters with an H in their name. I’m expecting a big twist and also a set up for the next season.

Will watch it but its sort of becoming a parody of its earlier self, think the H question won't be answered fully and possibly may in the next series..

Or maybe there will be a helicopter crashing onto AC 12 HQ..

Who knows..

You are lucky and unlucky at the same time; Lucky as I wish I was watching it again from the beginning, plenty of great moments ahead.

Unlucky as yes there are spoilers ..stay away... run

The guy who plays Steve Arnott was on TV this morning (channel 4) and he confirmed another series has been commissioned.

In that case Hastings is definitely not H. I think we will find that out tonight but not who H actually is. We might find out lots of Hastings's secrets though.

I'm the same as you. Series 5 seems to have relied too much on gore and cliche.

Series 1 and 2 were outstanding and edge of your seat stuff.

It has become a parody. The scene with Hastings in the clurrrrrrrb was just the wrong side of 'too far' to me AS was the acting..... twas awful as if even the actors didn't know what the scriptwriters wanted.

My prediction for tonight ........ Hastings is accused and banged up..... cue music...... ding dong do dah ding dong do dah ...

We will THINK he's H until series 6 or 7.

My far fetched prediction ...... Steve Arnott is H or the good looking dark haired woman that Hastings has been seeing.... If we ever find out.

The first two and most of the 3rd were exceptional in the writing, plots and the acting seemed sharper too..

Mercurio is pretty much up there in his work but it's starting to look stale and yes the plots have gone from feasible to obscure..

Be more fleabag and leave it there, he won't be short of offers script wise..

I keep thinking Hastings is going to morph into Ian Paisley in his younger days..

There and to the left a bit

Agree it's not as good as it was and on some levels has become a caricature of itself BUT it's still the best police procedural on TV both currently, and arguably ever.

H won't be revealed tonight - that will carry on being the underlying theme until the very last series - either that or we'll find out who H is but discover they report into S who is the real head honcho and so it will continue - a bit like when all the talk was who "The Caddy" was in earlier series only for that to be revealed and H introduced.

Yep, I have a feeling that Hastings might not come through to the final series - which will be a tragedy! I want/need him to be squeaky clean (or pretty darn so) or I’ll feel all discombobulated. I need there to be a force of good!!

Way further than a bit, was also annoyed that nobody tracked down who gave the order to kill, why or how the police woman had a knife handy with no skills in using it, and despite surviving the gun shot nobody thought to ask who gave the order.

Found the whole episode a bit pants really, shodilly slammed together to leave lots of scope to continue with the same story in the next series.

5 series in, and they still have no suspicions on who is making money from crime.

Will probably watch series 6 in a couple of years anyway.

Managed to avoid any spoilers this morning and just watched last night's episode this morning on Iplayer at work... my colleague is watching it later and doesn't want to know the outcome.

The bit in the ladies loo made me wince... that's going to sting in the morning.

I'll stick with Series 6 but it's no longer as tense as the first 3 series.
