I’ve never understood why people want to know where in Leeds I am right at the top of a conversation. Why would I share where I live with complete strangers? Any insights fabbers? Are they trying to suss out whether I live the ‘right’ side, or whether I’m on the ‘bi-side’? |

But I don’t accommodate, so it’s irrelevant where I am..
And I seem to remember you making some fairly long journeys for women when you were meeting.. |

Probably not, but to some it maybe.
The serious answer I suppose it depends on how you travel and how used you are to travelling.
It could also be a question that judges you according to district if you know Leeds. |

I guess it's an easy conversational question to ask - similar to if you were chatting to someone in a bar you'd ask where they're from in an initial conversation- the only difference here is they already know the general area so it's kind of the next logical question - don't think anything is meant by it, as in trying to pinpoint where you are, and a suitably vague answer could still be given. |

As others have said, I don't imagine they're looking for your street name, more an idea of how local you are. Leeds area could be 5 minutes or the thick end of an hour. |

They aren't asking for you address and postcode. Just an area of Leeds. It's called making conversation I guess. |
