I don't think I have really ever truely been loved in relationships so it would be nice to experience it before I die.. I have loved and it was great while it lasted...

"So are we all addicts then "

Wasn't it Clifford T Ward who somewhere in his lyrics sang ,"i'm an addict for your love?"

Or Huey, "I Wanna New Drug"

I don't need it to survive, just something nice to have when one can get it, IMHO.

So if the object of your love is absent, do you suffer withdrawal symptoms?

Like the guy above who gets a knot in his chest if he doesn't speak to her regularly enough?

Do you pine for them, go off your food?

Struggle to sleep, or concentrate on other things?

Love is a drug to some people, its not to me.

Some spend their whole lives going from relationship to relationship and fall in love so quickly.

God forbid anything happened between me and jay but if it did i wouldnt be in a rush to look again.

Also will hindsight, ive only ever been in love twice, i thought id loved other people but it was just strong affection.

When im not with jay i miss him, but its comfortable, im in touch with him at least 3 times aday so dont really have chance to miss him. He was poorly from thursday until yesterday so only gave me one call aday which didnt last long and i felt abit lost. But i think we all suffer the headiness of a new relationship and then it calms down abit.

If love is a drug isn't everything else? Afterall it's just a chemical reaction or electrical impulses on the brain.

Good food, being relaxed, fresh air - it becomes difficult to think of things that are not a drug.

The realist in me is forced to accept that the day will come when people will be able to take a pill in the evening and instantly be in love, have a wonderful night, then take one in the morning to switch the 'love' off without the drawn out pain.

The fantasist in me loves the fact that I don't live in that world yet and that I can let myself believe love, lust and life is so much more.

When it comes to love, I opt for being a fantasist.

Love!

Love can be red, like the intense heat of a passionate kiss

.....the color of sweetness

.....the color of strawberries

Love can be blue, like the comfort we take in a pair of denim jeans

.....the color of strength

.....the color of perfect skies

Love can be yellow, bright and warm like the morning sun

.....like the sounds of laughters of children on the merry-go-round

.....like the sounds of fun from the boys flying kites in the open

fields

Love can be green, peaceful and serene I can hear your heart beats

.....it is the feeling of a loving hand that touch a grieving heart

.....it is the whispering of trusting words to a distressing soul

Love can be orange, the loudness of it can drive you up a wall

.....it can drive you to sing like nobody is listening

.....it can drive you to dance like nobody is watching

Love can be purple, the courage we need to love bravely and unselfishly

.....the moment I first kiss you i know that i am not afraid to risk involvement .....the day the declaration of your love for me was made known to the world .

No love is not a narcotic (which is the definition of what a drug is, shurely?)

Cafine is a narcotic as is cocaine.

That's not to say Love can't be adictive (gambling is not a drug) because it has a profound efect on the mind, but it is not an external chemical influence.....

On the one hand, it could be said that love is an over-used word, but on the other hand, I would say that there are different types and levels of love.
