What doesn't feel right about it OP?
When I was a single female on here, I did it regularly to give me a chance to get through my messages and browse without being bombarded with more messages |

I sometimes hide my profile when I want to slow my inbox down a bit (as the actress said to the bishop ). Doesn’t mean I’m not interested in browsing and meeting. |

I see where your coming from, the feature does leave itself open to abuse (most likely candidates are people using it as a free porn site) however would it make a difference if you saw them looking at your profile regularly? Why does it bother you that people may be looking ? |

Profiles are hidden for all sorts of reasons, doesn't mean anything sinister.
Mines regularly hidden
I visit my family, suddenly appearing as 'fresh meat' on Who's Near my inbox goes into meltdown.
I'm over 200miles from my home, I'm there to see my mum, last thing on my mind is meeting someone.
But I'll still pop on to catch up on messages from friends, browse the forums and yes I may then view profiles from threads

Ultimately you put your profile there to be viewed so surely have to accept that people you might not be interested in or want looking at your profile will look on occasion?
As has already been said - there are probably hundreds that look at you in stealth mode who may or may not be hidden and you'd never know it. |
