Love a good hike. We always wait for the spring to come in tho before we start, my teeth hurt if I go for a long walk in the cold.

Used to get out most weekends into your local hills when I lived your way for 6 years

Went on a gentle walk (PAH) last Saurday and found the slight gradients were more than expected - and also by 2pm it began snowing and we got caught in that.

Dog loved it tho by the end he was only keeping pace and not running ahead.

This weeks walk was better as was prepared for thesnow- and it was quite warm in comparison as there was no bitter wind today.

Next weekend going to visit one of my old haunts and go up to the Midlands, bet its warmer up there - it always is, teehee

We like taking our little dog for long walks in the forest, she is smaller than a cat but so full of energy, love this weather, ok if you put plenty of clothes on.

We started proper walking recently, sort of outside comfort zone walking. Makes you feel quite dead before it males you feel alive

Personally prefer to be out on my mountain bike in the hills to walking - but that's cos i A)own the bikes and B) have trouble walking more than about 6/7 miles.

It's always nice to see people out on the hills though, most people are happy to pass the time of day

The thing that strikes me is how i never seem to see anyone much under 40 out walking

i like a good hike but usually end up goin on my own

that was one of the reasons i got a dog

i have found mrs bus doesn't mind a hike as long as there are shops involved and she can do it in full tutty and slingbacks and exchange the contents of her purse (and my wallet) for more shoes, frocks and lip glosses along the way
