Yep. I have a lot of respect for that as they’ve either
1. Looked at my profile and realised I’m not their type
2 Read my posts in the forum and thought not for me/us
3. Seem me in a chat room and didn’t like what they saw
4. Read my profile and took my advice to block and move on
Whatever the reason- it’s cool by me, because I won’t bother them and they won’t bother me. |

We all have a wall of people to look at. It shows us different types of people who might be to just far away . And it's just easier to block to save room and stop seeing someone who is no point for you to see. |

Nobody said they did it because they thought the other person may be interested. I said they may have done it because of a Forum Post.
I block people sometimes. If they've pissed me off. I usually unblock them at a later date once I've simmered down a bit. It's NEVER because I thought they were interested in me, or ever would be.
Usually because they're saying something I consider to be pretty vile.

I think the majority of being blocked for me comes via things I’ve said on the forums.
If I discover I’ve been blocked I rarely counter block unless they’re a complete c*nt. |

Or.. it stops me from clicking on their profile and sending a message, because I've forgotten about the vile stuff. I don't have notes feature. Also helps me from having to see some shocking local updates.
It also stops people I don't like from being able to keep tabs on me. Which you might think as being narcissistic, but I think of privacy. They may not ever look, but I may never want to take that chance that they do. |

Yeah, it's happened a few times (maybe abit more than a few), I can be quite outspoken though so I'm not suprised, it doesn't really bother me, I know I'm quite hard to get on with and that I do piss people off |

I always block back. They obviously blocked me for a reason. I have no desire to interact with people in the future who have decided that they don’t want interaction now. Counter blocking saves any awkwardness in the future |

I block people who read a message and delete it without responding. It obviously means they're not interested, so it saves them from coming up on a search again and means I don't waste my time and theirs by messaging again at a later date. |

The confusing one is the ones that have had no contact with you or vice versa but you are blocked by them ..
They assure your not on the forum posts but then admin give you a 48hr ban for asking the question..

Yes i have noticed that I have been blocked by women who I have never seen or chatted with before.
And I doubt they ever saw me, because I noticed this when I first signed in.. So they couldn't of blocked me.

There are a multitude of reasons for it. My block list is short, the people on it are there for various reasons. Mostly because I simply don't want PM's from them or I don't want them to know what I'm doing.
If I've been blocked then I don't get bothered by it, it's just another filter essentially. |

It’s a false position though. Not everyone is here to get to know people (I am and I’m clear in what I want) but there are a gazillion factors that lead people to make quick decisions about whether they want to do that... not all physical It could be something in the profile, something in the message, location, relationship status, sexuality..... those things are hugely personal.
We make snap decisions face to face to. And more often than not our gut feel is correct.

I've noticed that a few times, but as someone else said I'm very clickable. These people don't know me in real life so it's not a big deal.

Yes. I see it as a positive. They either took the time to read my profile and form an opinion, or read a forum comment and disagreed so strongly they felt compelled to block.
Both options are better than being invisible or treated with indifference. Take it as a compliment! |

I'm about to block everyone on this train if they keep complaining about the music on my headphones !!!

All the time, and I block the person back if I find they have me blocked.
But recently someone made a comment on the forums "Oh you unblocked me I see", and I never had them blocked, so I wonder do people show up as having you blocked from time to time even if they havent. |
