Dunelm do really good waterproof mattress protectors. They don't make you feel like youre sleeping on plastic like the old ones did. The ones with a towelling like finish are really nice. They also do a half sheet that just goes across the middle of the bed.
You can order off the internet as well as in store. |

You can get rubber under sheets but they can be uncomfortable to sleep on because there is no air flow. We have friends who get absorbent disposable bed covers from an on line medical specialists and they are better but are a once only thing. Google geriatric under sheets. They aren't that expensive and taken into account the cost of replacing a mattress a good option. |

You can get rubberised under sheets, fitted, from John Lewis (and no they are reasonably priced), they are machine washable, and have a towelling like coating which is very absorbent too. They do mail order, shame they don't do male order, really! |

You can get waterproof sheets that feel like 'normal' heavy cotton - google hippy chick
They are a nit more expensive but work a dream. I've a double flat sheet & it's amazing- the bed is absolutely dry afterwards- despite all my gushing.
Good luck& have fun! |

GUSHING, what have you found that helps save the bed from getting soaked.
"
Don't do it on the bed. Do it somewhere else, like on the back lawn and give the neighbours a show LOL |

I can't turn my mattress over as it is made to not need turning.... so I do take steps to protect it. So far I have found the best method to be "I know what you're trying to do, now stop it or fuck off" |
