A guy in my office has just sprinkled salt onto his Kiwi fruit, I've also seen him salt his apple segments before.
Anyone else put salt where it doesn't belong? |

According to my Nan, sprinkling salt on sour fruit or fruit in general brings out the sweetness.
Makes sense really as in baking (specifically cakes)they add salt sometimes, to balance the sweetness. |

Surprises me how much salt tomatoes can take, when I make bruschetta I put loads on , cover them, mix , taste then sale again. Also I like cucumbers dipped in salt  |

One of my ex girlfriends used to pour more salt into a pan when she was cooking vegetables than there is in the Dead Sea, then she would grind the rest of the salt cellar over her dinner  |
