Tame Impala auteur Kevin Parker has lost a bunch of studio gear to the California wildfires.
As ABC News reports, 25 now people have now been confirmed dead in what is one of the worst wildfires the state has ever seen. More than 250,000 people were forced to flee their homes to avoid three major blazes.
That includes Kevin Parker, who took to Instagram after evacuating from a Malibu home. The frontman, who is working towards releasing a new Tame Impala album by mid-2019, was forced to leave behind a bunch of his equipment, which was subsequently destroyed in the fire.
“RIP To all this gear (and someone’s beautiful house) in Malibu,” he wrote. “I made it out with my laptop and the Hofner [guitar]. My heart breaks for the wildlife.” |
