I've no work now till July, worked my last day in the Army after 26 years and start new job in July. Feels very strange not having to get up etc lol. No idea what I'm going to do with myself for 2 month. |

Wow that's along old time in the army the end of an era and the start of a new adventure. Good luck. I wish I had 2 months off, I'd just please myself do what ever I wanted or nothing at all. |

26 years wow I did 11 but two years was as a boy etc.
After my time I took a few months just to get to know family members better. I was away for so long I never seen them.
My brother become an army cadet instructor after his time. .. |

I get 12 weeks off over the summer so understand your dilemma.
See family, reconnect with friends, take a well deserved holiday, just enjoy...it seems a long time off but goes pretty fast. |

26 years in a job is a long time but being in the forces is more of a lifestyle so it will certainly feel different for you.
Plan some things otherwise every day will blend into the other. Use it as an opportunity rather than just trying to fill your time.
I hope you enjoy your time off OP |

And he's thinking of police or fire. Or even just part time army if he can keep his staff sergeant . But I didn't know family I had a few weeks leave a year so sometimes I never seen cousins or I missed weddings etc.
Make sure you have someone to talk to. because you will miss the crap of your mates |
