Do vegans have some kind of grace period in which they don't kiss their non vegan partners after they have consumed meat or animal products?

I'm not sure but I asked a vegan friend about this a few weeks ago as her husband eats meat. She told me she won't kiss him until he has brushed his teeth And he's not allowed to eat meat in the house or dairy products.

Don’t really care, although I’ll eat my chickens eggs and honey. So I’m a shit vegan.

I used to meet with a vegan for a year so always made sure I brushed my teeth before meeting him (I’d probably do that anyway but it was a very conscious decision with him)

He never asked me too

You're not a shit vegan...you're simply not vegan.

Not allowed? Wow, that sounds a lot like coercion to me, I can't even imagine telling my wife there's anything she's not allowed to do in the house

Hiding in the shadows

I don't know about 'dating'

But I had a social with a guy, went really well, arranging to meet up the following week.

Then he told me he was vegan.

Asked me not to eat any animal products for 24hrs, not to wear any leather etc on the day

I don't give up bacon for no man!

I didn't realise that Vegans were that obsessive, I understand it but that seems a little extreme.

As a vegan that’s not obsessive it’s just their choice much the same as the other can choose not to meet them again.

The vegan lady demanding her husband brush his teeth and telling him he can’t eat meat or diary in the house. He must be very weak guy being vegan is her choice and it’s wrong to force that onto someone else. He needs to grow a pair.

Then I would ban vegetables from the house and see how she likes it

How do you know someone is vegan?

They tell you before you even ask them...

I don't know the answer to this haha but I'm veggie and my partner isn't. I'll kiss him after he's eaten meat, doesn't bother me. But if he's eaten a steak then not right away But that's probably because he has it rare and that makes me wanna

I've got vegan friends. They're platonic so we don't kiss but they don't ask anything of me other than I turn up and drink coffee.

True but I wouldn’t care about anyone else eating meat. Only thing that has annoyed me is people wasting meat.
