How many of you have one? What do you use them for? I.e work, social etc.. Recommended designs.
Looking to have one built next year but would be interesting to know how people find them |

"Looking fresh there OP.
Just read your profile. Your hilarious
Glad you think my bf is fresh looking. I think he's boxfresh lol"
Thank you, very kind. He’s a lucky man, but then when you’re as fresh as he is, it’s to be expected. |

Thank you. I'm most amused that no one wants to discuss his log cabin options. |

"Needs to be 5x3 metres "
That is not very big, my first was 6m x 4m was huge in my mind, it has 2 floors and is way too small... So I built a second one.
It really depends on what you want to do in it, at that size keep it focused or you will be disappointed. |

"Try phoenix near Farnham
I'm nowhere near Farnham
So no hope for a log cabin quote "
Log cabins are crap at quotes, you need an actor or comedian or something for good quotes |

I need it as an office to work from as we will both be working from home lot more. Want to keep work and home life separate. Plus trim has been harping on about a cabin for 7 years now. |

Well I mainly need it as a office so doesn't need to be huge. Also trying to keep the cost down. Did you build yours with a concrete base? |

Yes, but only because I use heavy machines in them.
The one I built for my neighbour was as an office, so that has concrete pads to stand on but an insulated wooden floor.
None of them have plumbing or toilets in as they are not in line with services, and there is a kitchen and toilet in the nearby houses. |

OK so what i had in mind was electrics and cat6 for Internet and it to be insulated again office equipment
Had an idea for a wc in the garage as the waste pipe run directly down from the bathroom but not sure if would meet building regs |

You need a builder in to give specific advice, network and electrics are easy.
Plumbing is where you hit building regs. as it starts to look like a dwelling rather than a posh shed.
Personally I would look at easy accessable toilet in the gaage as phase one, get that signed off then do the cabin as a second phase. |

My thoughts exactly, the wc isn't a must but would be useful as the garage as a rear exit into the garden but not a show stopper in all
The cabin or office is a must. Will start looking up local trades to see what they say the issue is I'm being proactive and don't want to seem i wasting peoples time as the build wouldn't be done until next year spring. |

Yep, too early, but ideal timing to set up an easy access toilet in preparation |
