I'm currently visiting my parents in Bulgaria and it's Easter this weekend here.

I'm cooking the roast today and it got me thinking, what's your perfect roast?

I'm making roast lamb, roast tatties and onions, honey roast parsnips and carrots, cabbage for the parental unit and peas for myself. Proper red wine gravy and homemade mint sauce with fresh mint from the garden.

Sounds nice though I can't abide mint sauce.

My perfect roast is beef, served medium .

Crispy roast potatoes, some charred onion on side. Homemade Yorkshire pudding. Lashings of gravy

If I still ate meat - all of the above would equate to the perfect roast. Unfortunately, it now consists of a quorn roast lol.

That’s pretty much what we are cooking today. Sounds pretty perfect to me!

"Regardless of what the meat is...always have to have yorky puds"

I was going to make some...but they have a small oven and they won't fit

I can't eat them anyway...I'm on a low carb weight loss thingy so I don't mind as much as I usually would lol

Solihull

It's all in the company you've got for the meal.

I'd happily eat beans on toast instead of a roast if it meant I was with good friends

Ps if it's in a riverside pub with a roaring fire on a bitterly cold day that's even better
