I just looked at my block list
There was one person on it
I don't remember why the block is there, so it's now off
If they come back to remind me why they're blocked, I might block them again
Oooh, such power in one finger |

Yep. If I message and no reply/no thankyou, don’t like what I see or don’t like some veri’s, I block. My list is massive |

I only block those who..
a) Express and hold views on fine abhorrent..
b) Are insulting and offensive. Either directly or indirectly.
I find it a bit odd that someone would block me, just because there is no chemistry, or falling out with a friend. Chemistry, friendship, preferences.. they change over time. I may move them in and out of hotlist or friends list, but blocking seems a bit harsh. |

This is the reason I’ve started doing it
It’s a bit monotonous when the same guy messaged three times in a week |

I came across this the other day. I was in the thread on the forum which required the next person to send a message etc. to the person above. I discovered I was blocked. To my knowledge I'd never been in contact so it's a mystery why. So, using the block button in this way can limit your use of Fab ... |

There and to the left a bit |
I don't "cold message" very often so blocking to prevent a repeat doesn't really serve a purpose for me.
I have three people on my blocklist:
- One lady who was completely bigoted and homophobic on the forums
- One guy who persistently and repeatedly sent me "fancy a BJ?" messages
- One person who was a little too connected to my life outside Fab for comfort
I don't block easily, but understand why others (particularly ladies) do |

People sometimes block profiles they've looked at and have no interest in based on the profile alone, without there being any interaction, maybe age is wrong, or what they're looking for compared to the profile is different, or any number of reasons. Blocking just takes that profile out of future searches. |

I will admit to using the block button temporarily when someone has pissed me off.. but then I sometimes grow up and unblock them. Just a way of expressing my rage |

We block anyone who winks or messages - our opening line is we dont reply to winks or messages because we don’t meet anyone off fab. We have a long block list of people who can’t read |

Why dont you change your settings then so they cant. Tick all the boxes. Have age range of 70_ 71. Problem solved |

I block for a whole host of reasons for example ladies who just want a penpal, ladies I'm not attracted to or their interests are not mine and those ladies who are so far up their own arsed (granted I could probably say the same for men on here too). |

But if you don’t meet anyone off fab why is this important? |

Its not really, but alot of people we meet want a fab verification and they want to leave us one in return. It also keeps your profile current when you want to go to a party or club event
Plus its our profile and its pretty self explanatory so if people choose to wink/message that’s their problem not ours |

Fair enough but why not just change your message settings so you don’t receive any at all. Winks are just winks. Seems harsh to block |

How fo you know theyve counter blocked unless your unblocking them to check if theyve blocked you too.
Which seems a bit weird |

I have never blocked anyone yet I don’t think I will it’s just not in my nature.I know some have blocked me after exchanging messages which is fine as I wasn’t their type so if they think I would bombard them with messages which I wouldn’t I guess it’s ok to block it’s there right.I have been blocked by one young lady as I was quite keen on her but that’s my fault for been a idiot. |

We've blocked local lads mainly so I don't get those 'looks' when they invariably pop into my work! Plus under 30's locally are most likely friends with my boys!

Those i have seen close by saves the looks and awkward moment.
Those that try and persuade you to meet even after a no.
And those that get on ok at 1st and for some reason they change the subject line to sexual chat online. |
