Dry patches...regardless of if you are now in a long term relationship or single etc... what is the longest you have been without sex? What was the reason? How did it affect you? What did you miss the most?! |

2 1/2 years after an accident, surgery and prescription drug withdrawal. Switched off from everything so didn't actually miss it. Can easily go months if there's nobody specific I really want. |

There’s two types of answer here - one is from people who can’t meet the right person, the other much sadder answer is from those in a relationship with someone who they think is right and neglects them  |

A few years after the break up of my marriage partly cause I had 3 kids the youngest age 3 and partly because I didn’t enjoy sex with my ex and he was the only one I had ever been with so I just thought I didn’t need/want it.  |

Probably longest spells were after the kids were born may be few months. After my vasectomy couple of months and recently bit patchy as wife went through the change. But through all of these spells wife has always relieved my tensions in other ways so never been frustrated in the 38 years we’ve been together. |

I found that with fab too, maybe cause you realise it’s for fun rather than an expectation or chore. "
Predictable back story....
I stayed for my son.
Then eventually realised I needed a life too.

On pills once that seemed to effect it and more you go without...the less you want it! Glad to say back to normal, in fact hornier at 55 than when I was 25 |

I was in a similar marriage. Had a really good chat with my mum today & it’s made me realise just how emotionally abusive my ex was. And how much I really love my parents & T for sticking by me when I kept him at arms length
