There are some really lovely, genuine and supportive people on here but I've experienced a lot of hate on here too. Some people are very cold and detached emotionally it seems. As this is a " sex site " as people like to mention a lot, there will unfortunately be people who are only interested in number one and don't care who they hurt or abuse along the way. I've come across some really lovely, thoughtful people who've been a real support so i'm trying to focus on them. I hope you had fun at the concert. | |||

Well said. There are some really lovely, genuine and supportive people on here but I've experienced a lot of hate on here too. Some people are very cold and detached emotionally it seems.
As this is a " sex site " as people like to mention a lot, there will unfortunately be people who are only interested in number one and don't care who they hurt or abuse along the way.
I've come across some really lovely, thoughtful people who've been a real support so i'm trying to focus on them.

"As in every walk of life, the Forum holds a mix of people, of personalities, of moods I think your experience may be different to that of many because your introduction was with a couple of contentious and somewhat contradictory threads There was little warmth in your introduction, just 'BAM - feed on this' folks The responses were, as expected, mixed and you have not allowed for this in your summing up of the forum and vis-a-vis 'us' I can, hand on heart, say that herein lies a group of people with a combined life experience like no other, with opinions, with differing values, with differing communication skills, tolerances and intolerances, with cynicism and scepticism, literally a cross section of society I only follow one other Forum and that is a local news site - I can tell you now, if you want cruel, go there, if you want warmth and consideration, stay here Just don't expect sympathy and appeasement with every thread I like it here. I probably wouldn't have returned to Fab if it didn't offer the facility, but friendship and warmth aren't givens How you interpret and balance your own response to some of the comments thrown your way isn't always easy, but it is possible to find friends and indeed friendships in these few rooms and, hidden in amongst us all, there will be people that get YOU. "Sometimes the way a comment is taken is about the frame of mind of the receiver than the poster. I've find some people flying off the handle because of the way they interpret it not the way it is meant. The danger of the textual form of communication, there is no intonation I think there are more friendly people here than trolls. Ps .. also resisting the urge to comment on Take That "That does happen, but there are a few who like to make their feelings known via PM, I've had some vile messages sent because of something I've said in the forum. The way I respond doesn't change, still a report and block. | |||

He’s amazing "Rick Astley playing the drums and singing Highway to Hell and playing lead guitar and singing a Foo Fighters song were a couple of my favourite moments in live music for years...left me grinning for hours after. | |||
