PLEASE NOTE IM NOT PROMOTING this as a business as I cannot spare the time to be involved, its only an idea to try and help a situation I have read about on a few threads, but if admin want to pull this because its "promoting something" then I understand I went too close to the line maybe.

Probably loads of things wrong with this idea, havent really had time to think it through 100% but maybe someone can take the bones of it and work it into something usable, if not no probs.

I have noticed quite a few posts from members saying they want a job,

There are lots of companies that have had to lay folks off because they cannot afford full time salaries during the credit crunch, however as things improve then maybe they are finding it harder to cope but havent yet got to the stage of justifying a full time position yet.

Maybe a small "mini job agency" thing could be arranged, the folks looking for jobs have time and internet access/computer skills ( or I wouldnt have seen them type!! )

It might be possible to set up a "mini" agency, to allow folks with skills,or even no skills but enthusiasm to work to post their "ability/willingness to work" then maybe employers who need cover for days off, holiday cover, cover but only for busy times etc can pop on and see if anyone would be able to cover this requirement.

If things pick up more then maybe the person covering for a few hours up to a few days a week might be in the best place to secure full time employment, if not at least a few hours work might be better than nothing at all.

I know agency workers ( full time professional agencies are expensive) but Im sure some community type "mini agency" could be run by someone who gets paid a minimal wage just to admin the needs and requirements from the workers/employers.

It might only give a little distraction to fill some of the time, but its fairly easy to get set up and fairly easy to spread through word of mouth/Email to everyone you know if U Email enough friends and ask them to do the same it fairly spreads about.

No idea if its possible or even worthwhile, but maybe better than nothing.

Anyway good luck to everyone.
