Did you know that intersex people are not protected under the Equality Act as sex is determined as binary but, in Jersey legislation was passed to ensure intersex people are protected too - well done Jersey. The worrying thing is that it only got amended as one of the people responsible had a family relative who was intersex. Guess it’s who you know that still rules the societal roost. |

I was in Jersey during a Pride event
It was very small and underattended - about 40 to 60 people at the evening event
Apparently, a lot of the gay community just leave the island |

That’s interesting, I’m not au fait with Jersey per se. I was just impressed at least they’ve got equality legislation down better than we have re sex as a protected characteristic specifically, but kinda still only by chance. |
