Question:
Is humanity heading for disaster, we are damaging the environment, seeking longevity by abusing medicines to the point antibiotic won’t work in the future..
Our political and religious decided have killed millions, yet we are still striving to improve..
Should humanity start again, destroy itself or evolve into something better? |

We are a population of over 7 billion on a planet that can sustain 3/4 billion without damaging the rest of the environment and ecology and also giving everyone a standard of living as a middle class Western European. By that rational we need to reduce the population by about half.
At current consumption levels the most popular figure the earth can support is 10 billion based on food alone, but that does not take into account wildlife and ecology.
A rather bleak outlook. However nature is resilient - look at Chernobyl after the catastrophy 30 odd years ago when we thought it would be a nuclear dessert for 1000’s of years, it is now a haven for wildlife.
There are rewilding projects in Holland and the U.K. which have been going for not even 20 years. The resurgence of wildlife when just left alone is phenomenal. There is hope but we need to do something fast. |

Religion and politics have been the basis for just about every war for centuries, if not thousands of years. It's not a new thing and unfortunately I can't see a time when this will ever change |
