I'd like to go to China and try proper Chinese food"
great to experience the real thing, but it's nothing like we get here, try congee for breakie, that's good, but not snake stew for breakie |

"Thai in a nice restaurant or in Thailand, also love cooking it for friends. Chinese if takeaway or cooking quick dinner for self"
We have a Thai restaurant here - all the staff ( except the owner who is Thai & married to a Brit., are native Cantonese speakers and the food is what is sold by all the Chinese take-aways in town - nothing at all Thai about it, not even a bit of coriander - very annoying & sub standard for Thai food ;-( ( hope they read this lol ) |

Thai has a freshness about it which would make it my choice. A lot of the things on a Chinese take-away menu are from the freezer. Still enjoy it though.
If you had Thai & Chinese restaurants next to each other at pub closing time I'd go Chinese. (If the Indian wasn't near by).

"Chinese as you can't beat sweet and sour tiddles, or fido in black bean sauce, just wish they'd take the name tags off first."
We've had three chinese take aways and a kebab shop open near us and the dog warden has been made redundant due to lack of work! |
