New York in February though - you might spend your whole time trudging through mounds of dirty snow and wearing everything you packed to stay warm.
It'll still be more interesting than Dubai though. |

Your comparing two quite different city breaks. All depends what u are into and what u want from your trip. Do u want to sunbathe and chill out or do u want to explore a city ? |

New York every time
Go in January and get ur butt round the sales
I had to buy an extra suitcase one of the times I went
I never really relaxed in Dubai - it was too hot for me (even in March) and I didn't feel like I could be myself out of the hotel |

"Thanks for the replies.....
Only thing putting my of NYC is the weather at that time of year and I do like abit of sun!
Miami?"
Miami is warmer but not roasting in Feb (mid to late 60's)
April is best for Miami imho - mid 70's and not as humid as other months |

It was more that I was looking over my shoulder all the time
My friend got treated to an afternoon in police custody for taking photos of how low the planes were over his hotel |

"Dubai is like no place on earth, just amazing, like nothing else on earth, New York? is just London on steroids, "
London on steroids?? New York is totally different to London
Dubai is great for the weather, but it has no soul, no real history and is very fake and the food isn’t great |

You could boycott Dubai purely on humanitarian grounds, for the quite massive human rights abuses carried out towards the construction workers shipped in from the Asian sub-continent and treated like modern slaves |
