most other seasons the league would already be won, but who will 'just' win the league . It will be such heartbreak for the losing(2nd) team/fans

i'm pretty certain the one with the most points will win, or if they have the same number of points it will be city unless liverpool score loads of goals in their last few games to get a better goal difference. Note, on Man Utds performance today city are going to boost their goal difference in midweek, by a lot probably

A question for the Utd fans.

What’s your feelings on wednesdays game? You want a big response or would you be happy if ole rested players ready for the game on the Sunday against Chelsea?

I’m a Liverpool fan and would hate it if Everton and Utd we’re battling for the league and we was playing one of you..... I think I could take the toffees winning it over Utd

Utd need the points for the top 4 and also winning would hand Liverpool a massive advantage with 3 games left.

Having watched the dismal performance this afternoon by Utd , and having been a fan of theirs for fifty years , I can honestly say that we will have no say whatsoever in what transpires .

We have the worst team the club has had since the seventies when we were relegated . The players have complete control , and Pogba is the instigator . For as long as that cunt is at the club we will be as shit as we are now .

So City will easily beat us on Wednesday , so will Chelsea , and ultimately I wouldn’t be surprised if Huddersfield beat us too .

It’s a fucking tragedy seeing such a great club freefall like we are . Relegation fodder next season

Yes FairPlay to the toffees they played well and it goes to show that you not only need quality you also need bollocks, team spirt and togetherness..... something that Utd lack big time.

The players hid behind Maureen and he took the blame.....Is ole the right guy to put it right? Putting his past and sentiment to one side at the club can he be strong enough and wise enough to get hold of the club and get it back on track?

My opinion is no as he’s not got the experience for the task in hand.

As for Pogba can be world class on his day but 1 game in 5, simply not good enough

It’s the fact that he can do it one game in five that shows what a cunt he is . Disrespecting the manager , the club , the rest of the team , and the fans . He has the ability but chooses when he will use it . Who needs that kind of attitude ?

Fergie got it right when he got rid of him first time round . Biggest mistake ever bringing him back .

I think that City’s game in hand is going to be the thing that separates them in the end.

I don’t buy this United will roll over to stop Liverpool winning it, that’s just fan talk/pessimism. United’s players will play for professional pride only. They don’t care about United so they certainly won’t care about the rivalry with Liverpool. City will beat United and then go on and win the league on the last day. Neither side is going to drop points so there is nothing to separate them other than that game in hand.

I’d love to see Liverpool win the Premier League for our first time, we’ve given Man City a really good challenge. I also don’t want the draws against Everton and Man Utd to be seen by either sets of fans as them being the cause of not winning the League. However I don’t really think either team will drop points. I actually think that City’s trip to Burnley may present more difficulty for them than United, given how poor Utd have been since Ole got the Manager’s contract. However I would like to see Utd players at least play with some pride, the performance and effort against Everton was appalling.

Therefore Champions League is my main hope for Liverpool success this season but it will be hard fought if we do pull it off.

Lets not get carried away we dropped seven points with less games to play last season and no matter how nice it is we are top of the league at the moment there are some very difficult ties coming up city are still one of the best teams in europe and not going to give their title up without a fight. no matter how much i want this to happen ive seen it 5 times since the premier league started in 1992

Got no affiliation to any premier league club but I see people’s point on Liverpool’s premier league record being on par with Leicester and Blackburn yes I know they won 18 first division titles but 1 top flight title in 30 years i remember the last time they won it and If someone said it’ll be 30 years before they win another top flight title you’d of laughed at them but what you can’t take away is 6 european cups that’s impressive

"Got no affiliation to any premier league club but I see people’s point on Liverpool’s premier league record being on par with Leicester and Blackburn yes I know they won 18 first division titles but 1 top flight title in 30 years i remember the last time they won it and If someone said it’ll be 30 years before they win another top flight title you’d of laughed at them but what you can’t take away is 6 european cups that’s impressive "

Because when you count a clubs achievements there isnt a cut off point.

Wolves won the league in the 50s.Do we discount them as they were so long ago?

It's a ridiculous argument.

I’m not looking for an argument I’m just stating a fact but well done liverpool on what they have achieved this season the big question is can they dominate again personally I don’t think so I think the days of one club dominate are long gone btw Biggest problem Liverpool have is if Man Utd get there act together and become a force and city and Chelsea and possibly Newcastle if they get taken over see my point the days of one club dominating are over imo

How are Liverpool the best team in the world?

Have they played every team in the world?

They won the world club championship "

Did every team in the world compete?

Liverpool are the best team out of all those who competed in the World Club Championship.

I know, it's hair splitting.

It's better to have several clubs completing..think its unhealthy to have 1 club dominant.

City will definitely be stronger next season.

I do.

IMHO 75% of teams in the Champions League shouldn't be in it.

If a team comes anywhere lower than first they're not champions.

Wouldn’t be much of a money making scheme if only 1 club from each country was allowed in but I kinda get you’re point

Yup.

As the poster above said, it's not about champions, it's about money.

Call it whatever you want ,the premier league,1st division title, the carling premeirship, barclays premiership.

Liverpool have been crowned champions of England 19 times which is most than all other clubs in the country apart from utd.

The only reason they changed its name to the premier league,is so people could turn around and actually say "liverpool havent won this one" :-ynwa

Read the post,it's about premiership trophies

And yes I know all about Liverpool's great history,I watched with jealousy growing up in the late 70s and 80s.

Some comments seem to go right over some people's heads
