Bloody exes

So frustrated. Had a meet planned for today and my ex decides again to not answer his phone when he was meant to pick up the kids at 8. I'd swear be knows when I have something planned.

I love my kids so much but could have really done with the break.

Now to try and find something to do with them to take their mind off the fact that their daddy has let them down again. Any suggestions? Two kids here. Girl and boy. Both under 13

A trip out to the coast

Leave the car, get on the train and go for an adventure

Picnic in the park. Let them run off steam. You could give them a task to find certain things with a reward at the end. I used to love days like that with my son when he was younger

Tell them the truth. He didn't show up. Why hide it?

Then have a lovely day with them. See if their mates can come round so they can hang out together and you can chill.

I only remember Dad letting us down once as a kid

It did upset us both

Mum must have been furious, but we never saw it

Next thing we knew, the butties were packed and we were on a National Express coach to Blackpool

We had a great time

I remember seeing female mud wrestlers that day too

It's strange what memories the forums can throw up

Luckily it's a lovely day. Go out for a bike ride/ walk and picnic. Go to the beach.

Because it was a very similar story and there were some good suggestions made perhaps?

If I can find the thread I'll post a link here and you'll see just how similar it was to the one you find yourself in now

No undertones here (apart from their Greatest Hits album in my collection) - was a simple observation based on having seen a similar thread previously that may have offered some help and guidance.

If people *think* they know me well enough to know how I think then that is not my issue frankly
