A local German lady had porcelain eggs hanging from a garden tree. So we copied this.

Would an inflatable, illuminated bunny be taking it too far?

I don’t think it’s going too far. I have a German friend and she does the same. Mind you, she’s not the only one of my friends that has an Easter Tree with decorated eggs. People have their own traditions or get enjoyment from different things
