Heres a question and i will tell you why ive asked it when someone gives me the answer, its related to other threads.
Heres the question
There are two women at a party, very similar looking, both size 16, both 5ft 3, similar attractiveness.
One looks gorgeous in a glamourour little outfit, is up dancing life and soul of the party has guys all round her.
The other is sitting in the corner, nursing her drink, wearing some very non descript clothing and generally looking miserable.
Why are these two women behaving so differently |

One is happy and confident in her body the other not so much so..
i would say the one in the corner is more confident and doesnt feel the need to dress up and put herself out there so obviously.. |

Ok, you kind of got the answer with the confidence.
The reason one is the life and soul of the party is because she has lost 2stone to get to the size she is. The other has gained 2stone.
The reason why i asked was related to the fat thread. I honestly in all my life have had little abuse to my size so is how we see ourselves reflected on how others see us |

"The one sitting in the corner was on here and took far too much notice of what others have said in the forum about "fat" people.....
The other one doesn't give a toss what has been said....

what a brilliant question and how true. I've lost lots of weight to get to where I am and would be up dancing as I'm happy, even though I would be classed as fat from the other thread lol |

The one in the corner has followed through and messed her knickers and daren't stand up
Good answer smiles.
Just goes to show how weight can affect a person when they believe what the media dictates what we should all look like.
Those that fit "The Look" think there is nothing wrong with them.
Do you understand where I was coming from in the fat thread?
Different people, different trains of thought |

Funny, the only time I feel fat and miserable is when my hair needs doing and my eyebrows waxing.
The second I've left the salon I feel hotter than Beyonce, Halle and Tara combined. |

I can relate to the body confidence. I lost 3 stones and gained the body confidence to start going out again. I used to be the one in the corner but now I am the one on the dancefloor and wearing the short dresses.

At my heaviest, I was 12 and a half stone.
I am just over 11 stone at the mo.
I do not believe I have changed in my outlook in life, or gained or lost any confidence between weight gain and weigth loss.

I said i wouldnt change by loosing weight, however, everything about me has changed, but i am ten stone lighter since i was at my heaviest. The reason why i have changed though isnt vanity reasons and thinking im gorgeous, i was always confident. What has changed is my outlook on life.
I set myself a challenge, a bit challenge and im 3/4 of the way to completing it, i can see the finishing post. Its opened my eyes to what i can achieve if i put my mind to it, it proves to me i have will power, that im determind, that i can complete goals. its completely changed my attitude to food, and most certainly health. I also know im an inspiration.
So its not about how i look but about the achievement that ive changed if that makes sense |
