Considering the Inland Revenue have not been bothered to chase the likes of Goldman Sachs and Vodafone for vastly more tax than Redknapp's case, I am quite pleased the jury stuck it to them.
A classic case of someone in either the CPS or HMRC wanting to make a name for themself with a high-profile scalp. |

Agree and it was a waste of £8 million.

5 years, 8 million quid and the main prosecution argument was an interview with the news of the world, all for an alleged 30grand in unpaid tax, from 2 guys that have paid over 100 million in vat over the years. Guilty? my arse
