If it’s that stupid article about colon cancer today then it’s not worth the paper it’s written on, as most of these ones based on food frequency questionnaires aren’t.
And don’t get me started on lumping red and processed meat in the same category...

20% more likely to get cancer than a person who doesn't eat bacon or who someone who doesn't eat meat. I can live with those numbers for a bit of what I love. They would have you believe the everything causes cancer nowadays |

Or more specifically "digesting bacon causes cancer"."
Apparently if you stare at bacon long enough you can contract mild Gout. |

Ah well a type of bacon is going to be being produced that is free from nitrates. Makes you wonder who started all this bacon / cancer malarkey. |

They’ll tell you anything causes cancer ,
One week they say if you drink small amount of booze is actually good for you then a month that they say all booze is bad for you ?? |

"First they took our fags. Then they took our booze. Now our bacon too? I'm moving to China."
No bacon in China , they have a massive pig issue with a pig disease and having to kill a massive percentage of the stock |

"Surely only smoking bacon causes cancer"
Smoked foods have been suspected for years. Obviously smoking food generates cancer causing nitrosamines, but they say little about smoked haddock for example.
With bacon you have two risks. The curing process. Then the cooking (frying or grilling).
Definitely something to eat only in moderation |

The person that founded this study must be vegetarian!!
Something will give you cancer apparently now, doesn’t matter what it is, everything in moderation that’s what I say, every week there is something new saying it will give you cancer, if we stopped eating the stuff they say gives you it, then what? It will still be there! (I’m no doctor so obviously can’t back this up), I know smoking will probably lead to cancer but I still do that, I want to be able to say I actually enjoyed my little time here (or my long time) rather than say ‘I listened to everything, cut out everything anyone ever said about what causes cancer and it may (because no one knows where they are going to drop dead) have extended my life by a few years’.

...and the ridiculous assumption that the bacon in the sandwich will give you cancer but the bread made with GM, mass produced wheat and cooked via the Chorleywood process is somehow far better for us.

The only risk to eating bacon is to the pig that provided it. |

They have modified their message, because they used to claim that all meat caused cancer...but animals that eat 100% meat ie lions, tigers, leopards etc seem cancer free...so the logic doesn't stand up. |
