I get sick of reading forum threads that turn into arguments, or are started by people having a pop at others.

Here's a forum thread to make you feel warm and fuzzy hopefully

What act of kindness has someone done for you that sticks in your mind?

What makes cheers you up when you're feeling low?

What cheers me up is when my 2 month old daughter smiles at me and does her cute baby talking noises.

On Friday ... I was driving to Somerset, 2 miles from my destination but 120 miles from home I heard a rattle to find my exhaust had dropped due to a clamp failure ... took it to a tyre and exhaust place ... said they'd look at it

Hour later ... car fixed, reused joining sleeve, 2 new clamps they had on the workshop, wouldn't take any payment

I am a bit fan of a happy place. You shouldn’t have to look hard or spend anything to get there.

Any combination of the below for me:

My dogs.

A kitchen disco.

My daughters laugh (even though her humour is incomprehensible).

My friends and family.

I dropped my wallet in one of my locals last month and someone was kind enough to bring it back to me at home - naturally just after I’d cancelled all my cards! - but a genuine act of kindness!

I used to just stew over any issues, thankfully I now have a gallery or two to distract me

When I'm down I usually read or listen to an audiobook or music

Not sure about the acts of kindness, I have some pretty amazing friends that are supportive so I cant think of a single instance that sticks out Haha

Filthy Desires Upon Trent

My lady Ess. I hadn’t seen my Grand Daughters for 18 months due to my Sons Ex wife being a Cow.

I saw them

Last Saturday for the first time. She bought them Easter Eggs. Arranged an Easter Bunny Hunt and generally made them feel loved and wanted even though they are not her blood.

She’s a kind hearted soul and I’m lucky to have her.

She’s also a very horny, dirty girl. BOOM

I was on my way to a job inter_iew and was stressing because it was raining and I had no hood. I was on the bus at the time and talking to my friend on the phone and the lady behind me tapped my shoulder and gave me her brolly and wished me luck.

If I'm feeling down I tend to blast out music and sing at the top of my lungs. Or see friends. Or both together.

I am surrounded by me ever so dysfunctional family but we work. They have heart and soul. No matter what is going on they are there in the good and the bad times. And we have had our share of both. This is what keeps me smiling and when I lie in bed at night I thank my lucky stars for.

Everything else is a bonus.

Loads of stuff every day makes me happy. My dad's dog throwing her ball into the pond today was very cute. I was too busy to play with her so she threw it into the pond to retrieve, over and over. She was a bit green afterwards...

The song one of my most adored friends sent me this morning was perfect.

My washing is out on the line and the smell of it when I collect it in will give me a little flash of joy.

Life is good

After I twisted my ankle badly my friend came and filled up my fridge freezer with all manners of goodness.

My dear friend sends me books so when I see his illegible scrawl on a parcel I get very happy.

I have a very patient and kind friend who listens to all my pmsing about nothing at all (well one thing in particular) but never makes me feel like I am being the ridiculous fanny I know deep down I am being.

Oh and weekend afternoon drinking. In moderation. That definitely cheers me up.

Family and friends. I’m very lucky that I have some incredible people in my life.

People often feel that they need to look after me, I can totally understand why and I appreciate it.

I love random chit chat, the photos of a puppy, the personal shopper who always inspires me. The one that makes me feel special. So many things make me smile and are what make me happy

Make someone smile and they feel better. If they then smile, so will someone else.

Sitting in a McDonald's a few months back..., a homeless guy was sitting at one of the tables just observing. A man in suit was waiting to be served and talking on his phone and didn't notice he had dropped his wallet. The homeless guy jumped up picked up man's wallet and handed it to him... The man nodded but barely acknowledged, he then ordered two big mac meals for take out,as he left the restaurant he handed one of the meals to the homeless guy...
