What is your favourite breed of DOG.?
Jump to: Newest in thread
As owner of two delightful but naughty Patterdale Terriers I do have to say they’re my favourite.
They are little yet hardy, feisty yet cuddly and above all they’re my best buddies. My pair are exceptionally clever and intuitive. They can sniff out a garden intruder in seconds and rip it apart just as fast. Not such good news for the neighbourhood cats, mice and frogs but it does mean that they don’t visit. |

English Mastiff. Best dog I've ever had the pleasure to share some time on earth with Miss him dearly.
- Olde English Bulldog (American Bulldog).
- Boxers.
- English Bulldog.
- English Bull terrier.
- Staffordshire Bull terrier.
- American Pitbull.
- St Bernard.
- Newfoundland.
- Dog deBordeaux.
- Spanish Mastin.
- Great Dane.
- Rottweiler.
Stocky, chunky dogs, any of which, I'd trust with my children, provided I knew the dog from a puppy and they'd grown up beside one another. Shown genuine adoration for one another and mutual respect. Pack life. Pittbull included.
Not because they look hard, because of their character. Stubborn, loyal, dopey, happy-lucky, confident roughtough-play-fight dogs.
Shame the big ones don't have higher life expectancy. 7yrs isn't long enough.. I couldnt have another

There’s a story about a guy explaining to his little girl that their has died...not sure how much, if any, is true. But it goes along the lines of the girl explaining to the dad that the reason dogs don’t live long is they are born with goodness already in their hearts, so don’t have to spend so long “here” learning how to be “good”.
Sorry, that’s rather deep for me, and I’ve used the story when ours have passed .. |

German Shepherd.
I also think Rottweilers are beautiful.
I like big dogs. But preferably ones that don’t drool.
I have a Heinz Variety (think he’s a Beagle/German Shepherd mix) and he’s crackers. |

The Tibetan Terrier my mum had was a beautiful dog with a really playful nature and she was ace. The smartest dog I've had was a mongel, part sausage dog and part lab, and he was my best friend until he died. Incase you are wondering, he had short legs and a longer body than normal but otherwise just looked like a black lab. He was cool |

Characters is certainly a kind word to describe them
He is a funny little thing, I sometimes wonder if I was given a dud because he is just so ridiculous- he sings! |

I love all dogs and didn't think I was into any particular breed until we adopted our Dalmatian. Our hairy son was comedic, athletic, like velcro, an utter snugglebug and just perfect. High maintainance but worth every second. |

Wow that helps, I had a big noisy rescue gsd who I walked for the first time in years his first day with me, he didn't last long with us but his days were filled with homemade chicken diners, fun walks, squeaky balls and end of bed privileges at night. |

I have a 50/50 lab collie cross. Lazy but intelligent! So much fun.
Our other dog is a blue leopard catahoula. A native American collie. He is amazing. Really hard work but by far the most interesting dog I have ever owned. |

Dobermans are my absolute favourite dogs, looks and intelligence combined.
My best friend for many years was my GSD, his temperament was second to none but I wouldn't have another due to his many health issues and my allergies.
Currently have a standard poodle who I love dearly but is an utter fucking doofus, intelligent dog my ass! |

All of them
Dogs have the most beautiful souls
I wish people would choose a breed based on their lifestyle and having read up about the breed
There are so many that join families as ill thought through gifts, as trophies or because it's trendy to have one of that breed |
