Chatting to a work colleague...
She opened up ( but in a complaining or whinging way) .How she,d been with partner for 15 yrs ,in all that time never been out for a meal together. Then went on to say that they get on so well, they share same bed but nothing sexual ??? ...
At this point I really had to bite my tongue..as who am I to judge.
If it works ,it works years of being together proofs that.
Then I think doesn't that encapsulates things as to:-
Sex really isn,t that important to ladies than men?
Could I be really be happy living with someone I find extremely hot as suppose to more of a friend situ??
I just dunno ... |

Sex is important to me.
Due to things that have happened, medication etc I have an extremely low sex drive. I can go weeks, months without wanting sex.
My husband has never once complained, pressured me into it, cheated, or asked to find sex elsewhere.
If sex is really important to someone and they aren’t getting it in their relationship, they should leave. If they’ve done all they can with their partner (having open discussions, counselling etc) and the only option is to leave or cheat - leave. |

If their relationship is working for them though, then aye. Stay out of it unless she asks for an opinion |

I dunno why you would bite your tongue in an open and frank discussion.
Why not just say "Well sex would be important to me, and no sex would probably lead to me breaking up with a girl".
If she was thinking of having more sex, because her partner had requested it, and she was asking around, and everyone bit their tongue, then she would think "I still dont see what the problem is, none of my friends seemed to think anything of it".
Anyway, Its actually not that important to me to have sex. I would tell her that its important to most guys. |

If you're going to get a balanced response then I'd say you're in the wrong place. My opinion on it is the same as many others; it's not for me, I'd say as well that I've been there and done that.
If it works for them though, that's fine. |

I was thinking the other day about our lifestyle choices and on the most part I think vanilla people just couldn’t or wouldn’t grasp it but then I think to myself, I couldn’t grasp a no sex relationship, we have fantasies and instead of keeping them locked away and afraid to mention them we on the most part get to bring them to life, it works for us lol. |

It's probably more common than people think to fall into a companionship. Different things suit as at different times in our lives. If they're happy then let the crack on without criticism. Personally I couldn't be with someone and not go put for dinner occasionally |

Yeah, that's what really made me startled!
Married couples often stop having sex for lots of reasons but retain the closeness. Not going out though is just weird! |

OK so I'll throw this one in the mix. I have more sex with my fwb than with my long term partner (who knows I'm here!) . Way more sex. Why? Lifestyle, time, being knackered from work. Yes it's not ideal but it is what it is.
I do however make social time with my partner I make sure we have meals out etc
But everyone can live their life how they wish. My situation is not normal but we are happy |
