Ok my take on it is that yes veganism in its purest form exists for people who want to follow their beliefs and change their outlook on life.

However I do feel there are a certain group of people who buck trends and are vegan, gluten/dairy free.

There are several forms of veganism. I don't what it's 'purest' form it. It's not a religion.

Generally and simplistically put- veganism is a diet that is plant based and excludes any animal product including dairy.

There are varied reasons why people don't eat animal products.

I can't comprehend how someone would think it wasn't a real thing. I also can't think why someone 'bucks the trend' ...... if they say they are vegan.

Veganism is a lifestyle not a diet.

Plant based is a diet.

Veganism is a way of living which seeks to exclude, as far as is possible and practicable, all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose.

Of course its real many people completely omit animal related products in flavour of a plant based diet.... Some people even omit certain plants that they see is more acid based

Buck the trend means go against the trend not jump on board

I've been veggie my whole life and vegan for over a year.

I've never been healthier; and I was pretty healthy to begin with
