Landed interviews for 2 jobs next week, typically on 2 consecutive days.
All seems good, however as you can imagine, my current employer (only been there for about a week) will not be impressed if I blag a day off sick.
Hope to shift one of the interviews to the same day as the other, but if I can't, wondering how the Fab community would deal with this situation.

Depends on a few things:
Do you not like your current job? (Obviously not as you are job hunting lol)
Which of the two jobs do you get a better feeling about? The one that feels better go to that one and make an excuse up like doctors or dentist.
Good luck! |

I wouldn't lie to my current employers to attend job interviews. If the new employers are keen they will rearrange for you.
You could lie, but what happens if you get caught out? Even worse get caught out and don't get either job you applied for.
You've been there a week? Give it time. I hated my job at first. You have to give it a chance surely, future potential employers don't like job hoppers. |

ask your interviewers if you can rearrange as you have work at those times it looks a lot better that you’d rather rearrange than call in sick as how do they know you won’t call in sick for them when you aren’t ill? |

Current job is just that, a job. It sucks. Role, pay, hours, conditions etc. I only took it as was unemployed at the time.
Interview opportunities would give me a career again. I would swap for either in a heartbeat. |

Just tell boss you have interviews. . No need to blag a sick day.
They'd understand that people are always looking for better opportunities if it arises. |
