Has anyone else experienced Amanda at M&S?
M&S are trying to be hip and trendy, they’ve even launched new adverts for the food which to be fair I quite like. However they’ve tried to make their self checkouts in the food hall........well I’m not sure what they were going for. They have an incredibly annoying woman called ‘Amanda’ talking to you. You think Alexa and Siri are annoying, she takes it to a whole new level. I did ask was it a late April Fool but no, someone genuinely thought it would be an improvement. Epic fail M&S  |

not every disability is visible. New toilet signs. People who cant wait ie people with crohns have instant access to a toilet even if it has to be a staff one |

I haven't encountered Amanda, we'll not at M&S anyway (that's a different thread entirely) but I get irritated by "please place item in bagging area" when I have. I therefore doubt I will appreciate "You don't want to be eating all those chocolate teacakes with your gut you fat bastard" ...assuming this is how it works? |

They probably employed an agency to do some marketing survey and found Amanda had a soft tone blah blah blah to it and spent half a million on it rather than get marketing together in a pub doing shots and come up with “Britney” as the winner for their demographic audience .....  |

I think that’s the idea and why they’ve changed their food hall advertising. They need more of the market, M&S food delivery is just around the corner, they need to appeal to the masses to survive. Unfortunately Amanda is a knob |
