It seems he would have gotten away with it.
Sorry i couldnt find the thread where the poster who started it said Ant was welcomed back because he was white not black.
But it seems if your a woman even 3 strikes of drink driving isnt enough to be punished.
"The judge said: "If Miss Parry was a man, there is no question it would have been straight down the stairs, because this is a shocking case of dangerous driving against a background of two previous convictions for excess alcohol."
The judge has been reported for this comment but do you think anything will be done?
Why should a persons sex define if they go to prison or not? |

I haven't read the full story but heard it on the news this morning.
Based on what I know the judge's comments are reprehensible. Gender should have no bearing on sentence in my opinion unless there are other extenuating circumstances.
I understand sentencing has been deferred for three months. |
