Clem's thread reminded me that Naked Beach starts on Ch4 tonight.
The idea is to get people confident about their bodies by being naked around different body types.
I've never had much of a hang-up about being naked, even before all of this swing stuff, but I know I have become more comfortable with, and admiring of, bodies since being around so many different naked body types.
Would this feel the fear and do it any way approach help you to become comfortable with your body?
Are you already comfortable with your body and happy to be naked around strangers?
Are you fearful of/appalled at other people's nakedness and body types? |

I’m looking forward to watching naked beach, the worst bit for me is taking the clothes off... once clothes are off I’m comfortable, cos I’m too lazy to do anything about the shape I am...
It’s also a great leveller... |

Pre-club days I would never dreamed of it. Now I
would have no qualms about getting naked in front of others on a beach.
Whilst a vastly different environment in Clubs it helped me confront my body issues (scaring) and did my confidence wonders.
I love it. |

We went to the naturist beach long before we came on here and it definitely helped my confidence, it was a great feeling and once stripped bare everyone was the same and nobody judges |

Have you seen the Warwick Naked Rowers? Very beautiful young men, with perfect bodies. Their message is about that levelling, in their case guessing who is gay.

I'm fine with other people being naked but I never will be.
It looks like it will be a good show with a happy ending and them feeling comfortable about themselves. They always pick hot people. A good mix. |

What do you think when you see other people naked?

That’s how I started back in 1995 a few years before my son was born. It was my first time on Fuerteventura. Not realising about the naturist aspects of the island, we didn’t research the island just booked a late great deal. We were told that El Cotillo was beautiful not realising it was a haven for nudists, as we were staying in the family resort of Caleta de Fuste. When we arrived at the lagoons we noticed that the majority of people were in stone circles and naked. Having never been on a nudist beach before we were a bit disconcerted and apprehensive. It was either carry on wearing my trunks and be an odd one out or feel the fear and say fuck it. I did it first and then my wife, even more reluctantly decided to take the plunge whilst getting some privacy in a vacant stone circle. Eventually it was time to ‘take a dip’ in the sea and that was the moment I realised how liberating it was to go clothes free. I’ve been an avid naturist since and frankly, now can’t wait to get my kit off when it is appropriate  |

It really is. If clothes give you confidence use that for now. Confidence is sexy. True confidence exists with or without the things we use to mask ourselves.

You get to see all sorts of bodies naked in Gran Canaria near Kiosk 4 ***wink***
Every time I go with my partner, when it comes to that split second of removing the bathing suit, I always feel a bit giddy inside but it is only for a split second. After that, I feel ok.
As for other bodies.....I remember once, we were sunbathing there and I saw a man-woman couple...they must have been well into their 80s...or the sun exposure must have horribly aged them...anyhow, upon looking at them bollock naked I thought... “they look alright” and carried on walking. I’ve also looked at naked bodies that were huge compared to mine and again, I didn’t really pay much attention. So, naked bodies of whatever shape and age do not faze me. Xx |

Hopefully programmes like this will be shown to teenagers at school before the issues begin to destroy their self confidence .

I thought it was a great programme. There's so much negativity about which needs to be tackled.
I was body conscious but came to accept who I am. We all want to be liked but the greatest breakthrough was to realise we're all different and that's okay. We've been fed too much propaganda by the fashion and porn industries. Anyone judging me is the person with a problem about body image. |

I've only ever been naked once in a non sexual group situation
It was in a clothing optional area of a Spa bath in Southern Germany
I found it liberating
There was nothing sexy about it at all, but it is a great leveller of people |

I was very self concious but some very lovely forumites have been very kind to me and accept my body as it is. The fabs and comments from strangers bizarrely helps too! |

I love this programme!!
8 years ago I was a size 18, absolutely hated my body, couldn't make eye contact with a mirror, no chance was anyone going to see me naked other then my ex!
Even though, I've lost a lot of weight, the body confidence bit is still meh!
The one thing that has changed in me, is the determination to change. I make myself get down to lingerie in clubs and naked at naturist clubs as I stick by the YOLO. Even though I'm 'bricking it' each time, I am determined to get over this body shaming thing I've got stuck in my head!! |

You’d be surprised how in reality that just doesn’t happen .
I thought when we started going to swinging clubs that I would be walking around with a hard on all night . Nope , far from it . No matter how hot the women were I would spend most of the time without a stiffy . So I started taking a little blue pill which certainly helped , but still no permanent boner . The viagra certainly helped with performance though |
