Feeding time at the zoo..

Does anyone’s pets have a routine for when it’s time for their food?

In the morning my dogs go out in the garden for a wee, then come back in and get fed. If this doesn’t happen our pug Draco gets so confused and will cause a riot.

When C is getting their bowls filled (it stinks and makes me feel sick atm) Draco will sit behind him and wait. So will Lily (one of our chihuahua x pugs)

If it’s the morning Luna will either be sleeping on the couch (she hates getting up in the morning) or she will wonder over eventually and eat her food.

Benji brings over toys for his food. He tries to pick up multiple toys in his mouth, although will settle for just his bear. He then won’t eat until Draco is finished his food.

It’s the same routine at night, but it will get to 5pm and Draco will stare at C because it’s tea time!

Does your pet have a routine?

With Trojan I had to as the big biugger had dietary issues and I'm sure a little OCD (not jovialising it for people who suffer) about eating. Plus had to cook his dinner so he are around me lol

The cats? No routine, although feed them at different parts of the house cause they eat each others food. Ones on specific dietary stuff and other not

My koi get fed in the morning, they’re usually at the top of the pond waiting for me.

My dogs get fed when I get home from work, they’re usually at the door waiting for me.

My fish tank gets fed in the evening at around 9. If I’m late the normally tranquil tank is alive with flashes of colour from fish frantically swimming around.

The turtle gets fed every now and then. He prefers to hunt his own food

My routine starts every morning with my doggo wagging his tail against the wardrobe, once he's registered me waking up, he jumps on the bed, and looks over me. If I try to ignore him he whines. Get up, hs follows Ms to the bathroom, then he'll spy the cat and bully her before following me downstairs where I let him out, I'll feed the cat while he does his ablution then breakfast for him. Usually veg, with tripe, or rice and chicken. He always has an egg as well.

My two go to their cupboard and stare at it until I open it. The boy dog has a snif around while I get out their food; the girl waits patiently.

They have to sit while I put their food down and not eat until I say they can.

While my back is turned the boy dog will do a bit of bin diving.
