They are not in reality but public perception can fuck up the chance to meet people so they pretend.

With the state of politics at the moment it would be more appropriate to say discrimination sensitive

Not everyone is like that , me for example . But then we aren’t looking to meet .

However , for the eight years that we were looking we would be on the forum too , spouting our almost unique non pc rhetoric . It didn’t affect our ability to find meets though as the last place we would look for meets was on the forum !

I'm real

I have opinions

I am judgemental

Do I express it here ?

Rarely

Why ?

Because it serves little purpose other than to to irk / annoy / upset / demean / wind up

I am really, like REALLY, not interested in coming over as creepy crawly nice in a vain attempt to see knickers fall to the floor

There is just so little point in serving to deliberately upset or antagonise someone who, for the large part, will remain a persona behind a crafted profile picture

I expect this is it, but I'm not sure, i don't own a television, computer or mobile telephonic device. I only get my news or updates on current affairs from the Dalai lama himself. And even then i only let him speak to me once he's cleaned his teeth with a non gender specific dental hygiene tool.

Central

Political correctness is a fallacy, usually raised by people who have disliked change, where fairness, decency and respect for others is standard. This site has rules, as does the forum. If you state specifically what you'd like, instead of a vague notion of PC, people can understand what you may mean.

In theory because people are trying to be respectful to each other.

In reality probably more to do with fear of conciquences of their words (taken in the right context or not). And of course practically the wrong words, ideas or mistaken context can see you getting shut down on here just the same as many other site.

The forum represents a cross section of people .

As has been stated many times in here , the fact that we are open minded and engage in an alternative lifestyle means there will always be a more liberal and left leaning political stance .

But not everyone , and there are still a few of us Sun reading right wing bigots with plenty of prejudices floating around .

And when I read some of the pc crap spouted on here , I’d far rather be a fucktard , or an old fashioned cunt with no empathy , which of course I am perceived to be by the decent people on here anyway .

I think something said upthread encapsulates it. It was said 'we didn’t use the forum for meets'.

The forums are now used as a way to get meets in a way it wasn’t in the past. Therefore opinions expressed are definitely moderated with an eye on possible consequences.

Because of course people are only ever virtuous with the threat of retribution?

Whilst there may well be some who only claim to be virtuous or 'PC' if the offer of sex is on the table, how many people in the real world don't steal or abuse others for fear of reprisals? The concept of virtue was created by the church to make people afraid of retribution in the afterlife, so by this argument, no one is ever well behaved without an ulterior motive.

Personally I find it rather unfortunate how many people are assuming others think 'just as they do, except they have the strength of character to say it'. Using the term 'PC' as an umbrella term to dismiss treating others with respect is frankly vile.

I don’t see being pc as a way of behaving in a virtuous way . I see it as more as a term that encapsulates the modern way of trying everything but the old fashioned ways to get stuff done .

When I was a kid I got a clip round the ear for misbehaving , now that’s non pc to do so . Kids get away with anything and everything these days and end up knifing each other . I don’t see folk like you saying this because it’s not a pc thing to say .

That’s got nothing to do with virtue but it’s what I think . And what many people think .

You think it’s all to do with sexuality , race , etc.... it’s not . I hate racism as much as anyone else . I have nothing against anyone’s sexuality or their choice to choose any gender they like . But I don’t like kids being taught about it until they are old enough to understand it all . I feel they are too impressionable until they are teenagers , and probably still are to a degree then . But in order to stop the hate I think it’s a good thing to show why it’s wrong to pick on others .

But lots of old fashioned values are good , and shouldn’t be forgotten just because they are old fashioned .

I suppose on a swinging site it seems odd to propose that certain things are wrong when I support non monogamy . Hypocritical perhaps ? I don’t know but because we chose to swing doesn’t mean we don’t still support capitalism and detest Corbyn and his politics . Yet if we were to try and fit in with the majority on the forum , that’s what we would need to do .

It’s never stopped me from saying what I want to say .

But I must bow out for a bit now as I am watching the England v Spain women’s football match on BBC2 . I’m hoping someone will score and remove their shirt , and subsequently a pile of fit birds pile on top of her , providing me with some very welcome wank material !
