Travel Blog... Day 2 - I Have A Cunning Plan...

Jump to: Newest in thread

Ok after being woke up by the Cockerels singing I finally got back off to sleep. Went down to the kitchen and had eggs on toast the hens had laid... I lied sort of in my last blog. There are 4 hens and 3 Cokerels. I thought a few of them were chickens

I mucked out 2 stables and had to take the waste by wheelbarrow to the other side of the road to dump for compost. Selma said that I was so fast at taking it over and she kept thinking... Oh he's back! I said sorry do you want me to slow down? Are you sick of seeing me all the time? . I had a walk around to meet all the animals. She has 2 cats also that won't come anywhere near me. Give it time... Selma told me not to get to attached to one of the Cockerels as we'll be eating it soon... she's going to let me kill and prepare it. Something I have experiance in as I lived on a gaming farm. We then took the sick horse for a little walk for 10 minutes which seemed to perk him up a bit. Which was nice to see.

We had a chat and I said how everyone back home was so interested in what I was doing. I told her about my blog on Fabswingers. I asked if she knew what swinging was and she said yes. In Norway they don't really do it but in Denmark they love it. When we go there we will get all sorts of offers!? She goes over once a month to collect some goods. So that will be interesting. She is a really nice lady. So down to Earth... maybe that's why we get on so well. I feel at home here I really do. The locals are excellent people who take time to have a chat and enquire about what I'm doing.

I then took Sally the dog for a nice walk and to see the sites. So beautiful here! (See uploaded pics, some where recected so will do more with more of my finger showing). It's breathtaking. Every turn was a new amazing site. I met up with Selma and we went to see her Mum. Wow her handshake was so strong! She said most Norwegian woman are strong as their husbands are fishermen and they are left to look after the farm. Such an amazing lady. Didn't have much time there but she said I could pop over for a chat anytime, something I will definitely be doing.

We took some logs and made our way back. I saw a hen that was dead and without thinking went to climb over the fence... got shocked not once but twice!! I wont be doing that again!! . After food she showed me what the jobs are for tomorrow. Going to show me the feeding of the animals. Also going to be chopping wood and moving logs. Muck out couple more stables and other things too. I'll be going for another walk with Sally to the sea.

Ok so now the cunning plan I have... I intend to stay at this farm for 12 months. Selma said I could have some weeks off to go and explore Norway and Denmark. It's such a wonderful place that a month wouldn't be long enough. She said there will be plenty of cash work coming up so making money wont be an issue as I seem like a hard worker. Also having a base in Norway and having the odd week or couple of weeks off I can still travel around and keep some of my things here so I can travel lighter. After 12 months I will find another host somewhere between Sweden and Finland and do the same thing for 12 months. Explore the two Countries and move on... and so on. This is my life now and I want to keep doing it for as long as possible.

This is exactly what I needed and was looking for.

Anyone of you is welcome to come over and do what Im doing for a week or two. Free food and accommodation for some graft. It really doesn't feel like graft with such beautiful surroundings and animals. It is a really good experience. PM me if anyone is interested. She will welcome you like she welcomed me. She has had a lot of people come and let her down. Students on a break from Uni etc. Spoilt and not willing to put some work in. I told her the Fab community are truly amazing people and I'm sure there will be people who would jump at the chance to do it. She loved that!!

Thank you all for your interest and support...

Stay tuned for episode 3...

Oh yeah... after spending £14 on 1 pair of boxershorts. When I unpacked I found 4 pairs that I forgot I packed! Also in the bathroom she has a shampoo called FAB hair... a sign maybe?

Another reason I want to stay 12 months is that there is so much to do. I really want to help this lady. She is amazing. She's been let down bu so many. One Albanian guy killed one of her rare bread hens. She had a French couple who tried to tell her what to do and when they will work. People who she has trained to look after the animals so that she can go away and teach diving. Oh yeah she is a qualified diving instructor so I will be doing some of that. And when she went away for a couple of days the people just threw parties and ignored the chores and the animals. People who come here and just go off and do their own thing then come back for the free food. I told her it wont happen while I'm here. I wont let it happen. It clearly says on the website 5hrs work a day 5 days a week. I did about 7 today and probably do more tomorrow and I will do 7 days a week until she gets more help. I'm not the type to see someone do something by themselves and just go and enjoy myself. I'll will always make sure everything is done first. If people come here and take the piss I'll either tell them to leave or collect rent off them. I told her all this and she was happy. She is such a nice person and my heart goes out to her. She welcomed my offer and I intend to deliver on it. You all should know me by now lol .

Thank you all and please think about coming out here to have a real Norwegian farm experiance. You will not regret it. Couples are welcome. Hold up to 4 helpers.

Stops when I return. Very achy today after yesterday... I'll get used to it. I was doing hard work before but this is so different and uaing muscles I didn't know I had...

It is so nice to be here. Having a sofa and house to be in.

Cconfession time... I was homeless for about 7 months before this trip. I gave up where I was staying and lived in the warehouse where I worked. The bosses gaveme a room rent and bills free so I could buy the equipment and save cash... I had to strip was using 2 basins so having a shower is brilliant. I had showers in the gym too but to wake up here and have Sally to keep my lap warm and Maaaaaa to keep me company with my first coffee is truly wonderful.

Travel Blog... Day 3 Slaughter Van...

After waking quite early this morning feeling fresh and perky lol. I went down to make a coffee and see Maaaaa and Sally. Selma still asleep lol. I entered the living room and realised I needed a wee. So went to the bathroom and Maaaaa started Maaaaaaing. Once she sees me and then I go out of site again she starts to want attention. She is very needy lol. Well she is a kid after all.... Luckily she didn't wake Selma.

Having made a coffee I was cwtched up on the sofa with Sally checking in on you Fab lot and uploading some pics. Selma woke up and had a shower. She walked in with just a towel around her so I thought... ok... then she left and returned in a top and knickers. She's a large lady so couldn't see much really. Anyway we was chatting and she shouted 'Oh My God! The slaughter van is near where the horses are... I jumped up to look and there was a big white van with the back doors open. I ran downstairs, got my shoes on and legged it down the road... they drove off by the time I got there. We then took and hour to look For the horses. Thankfully we found all 3 of them... So that was an intereting start to the day.

After that I had some brekkie before feeding the horses and goats. Then I mucked out another stable for Maaaaa to go in. I really don't think she will like it outside?! She's more like a dog but we will see. She's moving out tomorrow so will let you on Day 5 of my blogs lol.

We then went to Havik Beach to get some sea for composting. Was really nice. Not a big beach but so lovely (see pics)... This is really a nice place. Lots of places on the way so will have to have a day out and walk around. There are bikes here but need maintenance... There's lots of beautiful places so close to the farm. When we got back I cut and chopped wood. My hand has been giving me pain last couple of days but today is killing me. I cut it just below the thumb and it is looking and feeling a little swollen. Hopefully not getting an infection, I soaked it in disinfectant for half hour and now have some Banocin powder on it which is an antiseptic powder. 2 years out of date so may not do anything. It's feeling a bit better though. The cut is in the creases of the palm so not healing too well.

For dinner I had Reindeer Meatballs in Gravy with mash. Was very nice and I'm stuffed now. Was going to 'Prepare' the Cokerel after food but I'm to full to move and so is Selma so just going to chill this evening and chat.

I have been getting texts from Cassandra who I met on the bus. She is 29 and really nice. She mentioned on the bus that she knows where to get vape liquid. It's illegal for shops to sell eliquid with nicotine here so will have to mix what I have left with the ones I get. £18 for 50ml... so she is picking me up tomorrow at 2 and driving me there. Then she said her mum is also coming as she don't have a licence yet so that will be interesting...

Will let you know tomorrow...

Whack it on WordPress (other blogging platforms are available) and turn it in to a proper blog. With the pictures you might get a good number of views

If you do it as a blog, you can do each day as a separate thing so you are churning out something new each day/week/month - however often you want to update it.

If you did what you're doing into a proper blog. You'd only have to copy and paste it into here.

Proper Blog may open up other avenues for you. Avenues you didn't know existed. Another audience for your travels. I'd leave the swinger bits in as well Especially if it's for a Vanilla audience

Very chuffed it's started so well for you. Makes me want to travel.

It's not. Different days. I want to keep the days seperate so I could search them by day... having them all on ine thread would be messy. The rules are silly as well. No another site is a much better idea. Can upload better pics. This is a sex site and I'm out of the country.

You can't or everyone will want multiple threads will the same subject and whether you think it is silly or not, it isn't allowed especially when the previous threads get bumped too.

Don't spoil your threads by getting upset as people are enjoying them.. just stick to one until it fills up.

I doubt anyone will have complained but even if they did oh well.

It's a forum rule not to have more than one thread on the same subject. To stop people spamming the forum.

People enjoy your threads. Maybe sleep on it?
