I'm no expert.... I drink wine... That's it.... However... I do tend to have my favourites...
White wine, I tend to hack for a tasty Sauvignon Blanc and steer well clear of Chardonnay.. Can't drink the stuff
Red I like a Cabernet Sauvignon or Malbec....
Brands? Wolf Blass, Robert Woodbridge... Although I'm not entirely fussed.... Tonight I was in Lidl and chose one called BIG GUN (Its like that on the label) for about 5 quid.... It was pretty bloody good! Intense with a spicy peppery KICK
What wines do you enjoy? |

I have quite the sweet tooth and prefer a fortified wine, mainly port lol, which I love!!!
But if I had to choose I do quite like a nice white riesling or for red a fuller bodied Pinot Noir.
I am defo no expert and could defo do with sampling more

There and to the left a bit |
Not a fan of white - tend to find it a little acidic.
Love red though, and although I don't know a great deal about them would usually go for Zinfandel, Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon - tend to prefer the Australian or South American brands too. Although do also like some of the Italian varieties.
Someone once told me Chilean wines are considered amongst the best as their grapes were grown from the original French vines that were wiped out by disease some years ago - how true that is I don't know, but has always stuck with me. |
