What is the going rate for the tattooists you use or around where you are?

Been to see the bloke who did my sleeve this morning and he's charging £75 an hour or £400 for a full day.

Sounds about similar to the guy I head to see. Just priced up some cover up on my wrist to do half sleeve of intricate work and it's going to be £600 for two days. The lad who did my back was a friend and apprentice back then so didnt cost me too much so hes going to finish that as well. Been priced from a few places £60 - £90 an hour for various other bits of work I need doing

Not a bad price for 2 days with it being intricate and a cover aswell, it all depends on what your wanting these days doesn't it because they specialize in certain types of work

Around about the same, just depends on place and how good they are but never heard anywhere I know of being lower than £50 a hour but those ones though still good are normally your basic tattoos nothing fancy.

But I was just quoted £120 for 2 hours work.

Yeah it's a bit of blackwork but Norse mapwork around my forearm love getting inked. It's an expensive exercise but I still indulge when i can lol the guy I'm seeing for the forearm specialised in cover up work anyway so it's all good. Good price plus a specialist

£60 an hour. For that we get brilliant banter and a tattoo. Bargain.

Go to Eastern Europe and take a holiday with the difference in price over there compared to the UK

Some fantastic artists in Poland, Czechia and Hungary who charge less than mediocre ones here

I pay £50 an hour with my artist, or 250-300 for a full day. Bit cheaper for me for a day since i've been going for years

This seems like one of those things where you probably don’t want the cheapest price, someone who knows their stuff is more important

300 for a day for my back in June... pretty much standard prices for decent artists

Exactly this! Remember being out on a trip and one of lads decided on a dodgy cheap tat to 'commemorate' the journey. End result and problems after meant he will remember that for a very long time

I don't have any tattoos but I believe like traditional artists some are more talented than others so wouldn't they charge more?

My thigh was 300euros on holiday a few years ago. He was really good . A proper brooding artist type.

The people I've seen here have never filled me with confidence that they could do anything delicate or pretty

Yes, also different types of tattoo. Some are really intricate, photo realistic. Some are colourful, bold and traditional.

My local tattoo studio has a motto, 'good tattoos aren't cheap, cheap tattoos aren't good'.

There can normally be a waiting list and be a bit pricey....spend the money and get it done right

I've known my tattooist for 10+ years, so I get relatively cheap rates of £150 a day, although I provide the biscuits and cake. His normal rate is £300 for the day or £60 an hour.
