I find if someone is actually on then there is a better chance of a reply. Otherwise you know it gets lost in a stack of messages the recipient has to read next time they are on.
But what is frustrating is the sense that people are shown as being on-line when they were not.

Guess it comes down to how you view/use the site - personally I don't send a message expecting a reply, and figure that if it's worthy of getting one it will - either way I rarely check to see if someone is on or off-line before sending a message. |

If they don’t delete it, they’ll get round to it if they are interested. Otherwise after a day I assume they’ve lost interest or lost the message under the pile of new one’s they’ve received. Either way it ain’t worth fretting about. |

Op I can go days even weeks without a reply then all of a sudden it comes out of the blue and you have forgotten what you asked originally so you have to scroll back to find the question and by the time you do they're gone again ,so u reply and wait if they get back again you at least know your of interest |
