Good evening dear friends Fabbers and Forumites.
I'm watching the television (It's like wirless with pictures ).
Every one is talking about Game of Thrones.
I've never seen G O T (thats what im told people call it)
I do love history and have read the Mabinogion (Welsh stories of myths ane legends)
Anyway I digress (yet again pooch is rolling his eyes as I meander on)
Our question is
What popular thing , that every one loves or talks about have you never seen or read or heard |

Taff, you are missing an absolute treat! It's well worth a try at least.
I've only ever seen about 20 minutes of Star Wars ... in fact I slept right through a double bill of Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back at the cinema in 1980-something.
I've never seen The Green Mile or Shawshank Redemption either. |

I hadn’t til last month... and it’s one of the best, if not the best, thing I’ve watched.
I only watched the Rocky films this year as well
Things I haven’t seen are any of the Harry Potters or Lord of the Rings |

I'll never understand the "I've never seen" attitude. Just watch something and decide if you like it that way.
I'm biased as I love A song of ice and fire (the books) and Game of Thrones. Yes it is hyped to hell and back, but that hype has major grounds to be taken notice of.
Just watch it and decide if you are missing out - I've told countless people to watch it over the years and everyone has been stunned as to why they have not watched it sooner. Then again you may hate it, and never have to watch it again. |

Out of all the films, TV programmes, etc. mentioned on this thread, I have only ever watched Dr Who & Inspector Morse. None of the others. I don't have a television. I am not interested in films. Last time I went to the cinema was in the 1980s.
Never been to a barbecue either. Nor any type of sports match (excluding compulsory school matches). |

Some people will deliberately not watch something (or admit to watching something ) that is critically acclaimed because they want to be noticed as different,,,more intellectual etc. |

To be fair you don't have to buy in to the hype, you just have to give it a shot. Don't go to watch, or eat, or do something that is hyped expecting it to be earth shattering and world changing amazing. Just view it as a new experience, you may be surprised at how enjoyable things hyped or not, can be.
Not specific to game of thrones, but after so long of not experiencing something, people start to just be stubborn and refuse to give something a shot out of fear of being "wrong" and they may actually enjoy it. Seen it happen many times. |

But I only give things a shot if they appeal. I don’t just watch because people say how fantastic something is. If someone suggests it and it looks ok then I’ll give it a go. |

Also some peops will deliberately not watch some epic stuff simply because they don’t want to get addicted and have to throw a sicky from work to sneak a couple of episodes in or forget to collect the children from school because the cliff hanger was just too immense...
A couple of my pals have refused to watch walking dead; breaking bad or GOT simply because they can’t spare three or four weeks of their lives binging it... I must admit I have done for several really good shows... |

Not pretending to cleverererer than I am.
Just simply don't want to watch GOT haha.
I personally dislike television, and loathe TV series. Apart from Band of Brothers. That I thought was incredible AND based on actual events.
I'm simply not interested in these fantasy TV series as they nearly always follow a similar typical layout, to try and keep you on a cliffhanger until next week's episode. Waste of time |

I haven't seen any of the new Star Wars films.
Any of the Godfathers.
I haven't had a TV in years so I haven't seen any reality TV.
Soaps
The last time I watched a chat show or the news it was Terry Wogan or John Craven.

I got about 3 seasons in with GOT a while ago then lost interest. I hardly watch any tv at all nowadays, my TVs permanently cycling through seasons of Hey duggee, can’t wait for the new season of peeky blinders tho |

Haven't seen The Sopranos.
Haven't seen The Wire.
I thought Breaking Bad wasn't that good and didn't deserve the hype. There were multiple episodes where nothing happened and in a majority of a season virtually nothing happened. |

Nope - I stream everything I want to watch.
Everything is available online - then you don't get sucked into hours of mindless rubbish like Jeremy Kyle and reality TV.

I didn't start watching it until season six. Mainly because I stopped watching TV and was in a very deep depression. I signed up to now TV because they were showing them all before season 7 started. I binge watched them all with my daughter and was hooked. I've never been so excited for a new season of a TV show to start. I will be sad to see it ho and really do hope they make a movie of it.
I cued for 2 and a half hours at King's Cross to sit on the Iron Throne.
