After killing a 4 year old boy with an insecure mirror in a store in Bicester ... they should be ashamed of everything they've done

Didn't Coca Cola pull out of Germany during the war? I thought they did, which then left a redundant production facility that the Nazi's used to produce Fanta.

Design? Past tense surely, unless I'm missing something?

I don't know the relationship they had but I don't think a company should be held responsible for something their client did ??

The question remains I guess if you profited from crimes against humanity and supported or were complicit in genocide do you have reparations to pay.

Some compensation to holocaust victims has been paid but the sums are tiny for their suffering

In 2015 Germany agreed to pay “Child survivors” Those who were in concentration camps, ghettos or were, for at least six months, in hiding or living under false identity will be eligible to receive a one-time payment of €2,500 for special psychological and medical care.

Wasn't Cocco Channel a Nazi collaborator? Porche designed German WW2 tanks used for the Nazi destruction of Europe, Mercedes built vehicles for the Nazi war effort. Tate and Lyle got supper rich from the use of slaves and so on and so on.

Those programmes that trace ancestors reveal some unsavoury things about people's family history, does this change how you view a person?

The past is best kept in the past if there is to be any future.

Also coca cola were suppling drinks to the nazi's and got into trouble for it...so rather than stopping the supply to them as it would of lost them a lot of money, they made a drink called Fanta... That's why if you go to Germany now, there are more flavours of Fanta there than anywhere else in the world!

"It is quite controversial as they design the nazi uniforms, whats your view?"

Good idea. Let's go into history and prosecute the decendants of historical attrocities...

Starting with:

The slave trade

The massacre of thousands of women and children in concentration camps in the boer war

The genocide of the indigenous tribes of America, Australia and New Zealand

The torture of prisoners in the Tower of London...

Hang on... wait... that's US! Quick change the subject.

At what point is a crime too far in the past to be taken to court ?.10 years 0r 100 years or do survivors have to be alive to claim or descendants.

The holocaust is in living memory.

Better still. Why not go with the present. Go after all the European mining companies who start and fund wars to get mining concessions in African countries.

Before you do that however note that stocks will fall and your pension will be less...

Do you know that some German tanks had Ford Engines...?

Why start with the slave trade? How about:-

The invasion of Britain by the Romans, brutal torture, slavery etc.

The invasion of Britain by the Vikings, brutal torture, slavery etc.

The invasion of Britain by the Normans, brutal torture, slavery etc.

Exactly. Open up the history books and you find no one is perfect.

My point is we're not historically perfect and in no position to be pointing fingers at everyone else.

If OP got his way and Hugo Boss was put out of business.... apart from a lot of people losing their jobs, what would it achieve?

In two generations time this planet won't exist. Why? Because our planet will be destroyed by environmental damage. And while the president of the world's biggest producer of greenhouse gasses walks out of an environmental summit because it would affect jobs in a country he wants to make great, we are banging a drum about something that happened over 70 years ago.

So. Uniforms. Let's imagine no one was prepared to make the German army uniforms and they had to fight in civies.... how would the Allies have known who to shoot at? We should all be grateful that the bad guys had a uniform to identify themselves. Thank you Hugo Boss

The owners of Krispy kreme donuts have decided recently to donate £10 million to an undisclosed charity after an investigation into their family found they were using forced Russian slave labour during the war.

Seen in far off places

I'd say it's more criminal to see folk wearing clothing brands such as Bench, Mckenzie, Jack & Jones, and Crosshatch etc.

Reebok Classics? ...bring back public hanging.

I suspect that when the uniforms were designed the war was in the future? Can't imagine that any clothing designer in the depression would have turned down a government clothing contract for a legit government that had not broken any rules yet.

My understanding is HB produced the clothes but did not design them. After the war HB was fined heavily, taken away the right to vote and forced to hand over the company to be run by someone else.

HB also publicly apologised for the use of forced French and Polish labourers.

As you suggest I also doubt that a manifesto of the "Final Solution" along with the cutting patterns. They started making the uniforms in 1938 which is not long after most of the nations of the world saluted Hitler at the Berlin Olympics. An Olmpics, I might add, where Jewish athletes were banned by Hitler and the world responded by sideling their own Jewish athletes to make him happy.

Essex.

"The Nazi's were an awful bunch. But they did have the best uniforms. Waffen SS.. Sexy as hell. "

They are only seen as awful because they lost.

If Hitler had fulfilled his ambition, most people would not bat an eye lid at disabled people or gypsies being interned or executed as it would be an every day occurrence.

Thank God he lost..

You may be right, but hopefully not. After all male homosexuality was illegal in the UK until 1967, and we got over it. Hopefully one day all hatred of difference will be gone from this world.
