Would any guys or gals on here feel comfortable giving anonymous answers to a few questions regarding female on male domestic violence (their own experiences) for an ongoing study?
Absolutely confidential - no names required etc.
Just getting an idea to see if they'd be an interest, let's see if I get any replies. Cheers |

"Personal experiences often get deleted by mods.
Don't forget this is a public forum - it can be viewed by non-members.
"
Very true, so to clarify, I'm only interested in getting an idea of if there would be a response, not for people's personal experiences to be put here. Although I suspect they'd be well within the rules to do so as long as names etc were redacted - just like any other personal experiences in the forum. |

I think a discussion about female on male DVA, which does happen, is fine. However, a survey, for some unknown reason, on such a sensitive issue is a tricky concept.
What is the survey question? |

Nope, it's an attempt to see if people are more prepared within this anonymous and generally open environment, to share qualitative experiences as there is a large gap in the data in this area - something that I am already working on.
If people reply then good, if they don't then that also an indication too.
Hope that helps |

"What is it for? "
I'm already in the middle of a research proposal that's looking at similarities and differences between male and female experienceso of DV. There's a number of aims within it and if anyone genuinely wants to see a redacted copy (it's 29 pages long) then I'll reply to those individuals privately.
Again, just to clarify, I'm only looking to see if people in the forum would be willing to talk privately about their experiences and if this would be a useful avenue to explore.
Cheers |

Are you also looking at male on male domestic and sexual violence and abuse?
I see the need for the qualitative work on the differences between male and female experiences. I have also found little on male on male because it is often coded alongside the huge amount of general male on male violence.

This proposal only involved male vs female experiences. Buy it agree, the male victim statistics are really messed up and much more work is required in all areas.
It's all about developing a larger knowledge base. I think as a portal, this site is a possible untapped source and because people can send what they want to me anonymously, they don't need to worry about details being published or their indenting being known as face to face interviews always fail to get the interviewee's fully honest contribution. |

Thid place isnt anonymous in anyway shape kr form.
Reddit is more anonymous and has mkre data on this subject than you could ever read.
You sound like your trying to make this sound professional. But your just looking for anecdotes not data? |

OP I doubt very much that people would be willing to participate from fabswingers and you may do better trying to recruit people from other areas.
There are specific forums online for domestic abuse which may be a better place to look.
I'm not allowed to post a link but if you google "hidden hurt" you will find a wealth of information on domestic abuse and a forum. |
