My dad had an expression for everything. Must were acquired from working on British Rail and at Southampton Docks.
Most were down to earth, blunt and rude. Some were downright crude.
But when I tut-tutted he'd often say you should have worked there son.
Different times of course but I guess my limits on expression are quite high and sometimes at odds with other people's limits of today.
Any others find that but don't use that sort of language themselves? |

Yes. I admit that I find quite a few expressions distasteful but they don't cause me offence, I just silently raise a metaphorical eyebrow. Often if people think it has shock value or that you don't really like the way they express themselves they will do it more. |
