If someone came to you with a story "this is what happened" but that story did not cover everything and left you with a sense of injustice what would you do? |

I’d listen carefully, clarify areas of the story I may be in danger of misinterpreting, check my understanding of what they have said. The share my perspective on the story of it differs from theirs. |

"Not enough info for an informed answer.
Was this related to brexit or alien abduction ? " Your not satisfied with the info? Neither was the OP who has also chosen not to give you any more details. |

"Unless it was something directly impacting on me, why would I do anything? There are several sides to every story. " It impacts on you tremendously, what would you do?

I might not need to do anything, so it depends on the situation. People love to create drama where there is no need. |

"what are words actually worth....?
....i get them to write it down and sign and date if I want a real promise.... " No promise involved. A person has told you a story sounds good but there are blank spaces situation is very important to you how do you fill in the blank spaces you have to involve the other person in this. |

Ummmm...
Ask questions about whatever you're worried about and then digest the answers. Set a few mental traps to catch them out and trop them up and get them to write it down and sign it, like a confession.... |

I'm a stickler for detail and logic and ask a lot of questions at the best of times. In this scenario they'd probably get a grilling. |

If a thing doesn't directly impact on me I don't tend to over think it and take it at face value! Other things I also tend to think it's only one person's/their own point so generally presume such.
But yes, I tend to take it as it is unless it turns out otherwise ... |

I'd just walk away. If I feel sonthing isn't adding up and they won't volunteer any more information then it's futile to carry on with that person. |
