Explicit hip hop is a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine - 'guilty' largely because of the propensity towards misogynistic lyrics and glorifying violence and excessive consumerism.
BUT, there are a few gems that buck that trend, including some 'sexy time' music that isn't all 'birch sucked my dick' etc. Here are a few of my favourites, what are yours?
Outkast - Spread. I love that this song preaches consent, so important, particularly in this #MeToo climate.
Ro James - Permission. Ditto all of the above but not as catchy a tune.
Bruno Mars - Gorilla. Dirty but sex positive.
Kelly Rowland - Kisses Down Low. A song about pussy eating, what's not to love?
J Cole - Lights Please. I just love this song and it's an honest appraisal of the power of female sexuality.
